It's already happening, but it looks like masked thugs carrying out executions on people exercising their 1st amendment rights. Won't be long until it gets more large-scale against groups of protestors and not just individuals. But killing individuals instills fear and they are waging a campaign of terror.

The president of Oglala Sioux Tribe in South Dakota on Tuesday called for the immediate release of tribal members who were detained at a homeless encampment by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Minnesota last week.
Three of the four Oglala Sioux Tribe members who were arrested in Minneapolis on Friday have been transferred to an ICE facility at Fort Snelling, President Frank Star Comes Out said in a statement released with a memorandum sent to federal immigration authorities.
The Oglala Sioux Tribe's memorandum makes clear that ‘tribal citizens are not aliens’ and are ‘categorically outside immigration jurisdiction,’” Star Comes Out said. “Enrolled tribal members are citizens of the United States by statute and citizens of the Oglala Sioux Nation by treaty.”
Details about the circumstances that led to their detention were unclear.
In the memorandum sent to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, Star Comes Out said the when tribal nation reached out to the agency it was provided with only the first names of the men. Homeland Security refused to release more information, unless the tribe “entered into an immigration agreement with ICE.”
DHS did not immediately respond to a request for comment Tuesday evening.
Star Comes Out said the tribe has no plans enter an agreement with ICE.
In a post to his Facebook page, Star Comes Out said that the four detained tribal members are experiencing homelessness and living under a bridge in Minneapolis. One of the members was released from detention.
In the press release, he demanded information on the status of the three men in detention, the release of all tribal citizens in ICE custody and a meeting between the tribe and the government.
Fort Snelling has a troubling history for Indigenous people. It was the first military outpost in the area, and Dakota people were held prisoner there during the Dakota War of 1862, an armed conflict between the U.S. and Native Americans, said Nick Estes, an associate professor in American Indian Studies at the University of Minnesota and a member of the Lower Brule Sioux Tribe.
“It has this really notorious anti-Indigenous, specifically anti-Dakota, history,” Estes said. “It’s kind of like a continuation on the monopoly of violence from the military outpost to the ICE facility.”

From what i have seen there seems to be very little centralised leadership against the Junta. I think they are really waiting for an identifiable "enemy" to emerge, once they have one to sell, the gloves will be off. From my perspective it basically looks like a bunch of people are saying to these ICE guys to F off and get out of their communities without any really centralised party above them.
In the old days the CIA and FBI organised very effectively against organisations like the Black Panther Party, they assassinated and imprisoned leaders, ran campaigns to undermine leadership and solidarity within the movement, COININTELPRO was really a case study in how to neutralise internal dissent.
In the absence of an organised resistance its hard to lower the hammer of state power on anyone. The hammer is patient however.
I think to myself what if this was happening here? For one, the ALP would be running demonstrations weekly, with the entire trade union movement in support. The great banners from trades hall held high and with dignity and pride, while speeches were given by politicians, past and present, union leaders and lawyers, journalists and students about the price of freedom and democracy. And what working people have sacrificed for it.
Honestly that would happen in Melbourne every week like a ****ing football game and the attendance would be similar. Additionally the federal government doesn't have the same agencies for coercion, most policing and policing legislation is is handled at state level.

It’s all about the cruelty. And it’s this cruelty, and it’s the scenes we are seeing play out in blue cities, that cannot stand forever. Does Trump and Miller expect fewer concerned and appalled Americans to turn out in force? Why would they? Americans are a good people, and good people turn out. Here we go. This is what this ICE thing was all about. I have been saying it since he became the republican candidate. He wants to sow enough discord to declare a state of emergency and suspend all elections. That is the mechanism of moving to a dictatorship. Sow domestic terror, declare war on marginalized groups, declare a state of emergency, and suspend all elections to bring "order" back to the "republic", then set himself in as dictator, using the military to keep the citizenry under control. It is happening before our very eyes. I really hope more people see what is going on and act accordingly.
