To play.... a bench role? I don't think that's the right answer. He has proven that he is a 'starter' in the league, and I doubt he would be happy not starting for us. Now if he gets humbled somewhere else, that's fine, but I would rather find a backup with late first round picks than have to pay him what he got to come off the bench. Remember, he's getting somewhere around ten mil for multiple years where he went. It's starting to look like Gordon and Favors are going to average over ten per year and with Burks showing athletic improvement and Kanter being himself, they will average similar numbers when they come due. Add to that Burke's contract which will be a big chunk of cash and you have over fifty million dollars going to five players. Then because of the CBA, you have to pay eight more players to stay on the team, many of them being the young upcoming talent that we already have, many more being the first round picks that we aquired, you can't be paying Millsap over ten mil to be Favor's babysitter off the bench.thats why we needed millsap to stay
