NBA admitted they made the wrong call on Harden/Withey foul

Well you challenge at the next stoppage after the non-call.

It would not work. If Withey would have got 2 fts at the next stoppage, it could effect what houston would have run the subsequent play.

I guess I'll never know what's in the report because I only use my super vision for good. It's a matter of principle.
Lol
I have no idea what it shows

And why did the live game stop to let Howard out of the game after he missed a FT?

This. I don't understand how that was allowed

Yipee... It is pretty stupid that they do this. Admit they were wrong, and have zero repercussions.

I get so sick of watching the star treatment every game. I get that I am a Jazz fan so I am biased but it feels like the Jazz get screwed so often it's not even funny. You'd think that Hayward would at least get some calls at home especially, but it hardly ever seems to be the case. I get why no one on the team complains about the officiating, but why can't the media call the league out over the treatment of our players. Even if it were completely bias it wouldn't hurt to say Hayward is our star he deserves the same respect as these other cry babies.

I agree. A better gesture would be reimbursing the Jazz a couple million for lost playoff ticket sales if they miss by 1 game.

should we also have to give the Memphis game back to Memphis? I mean, as long as we're ruthlessly balancing the ledger, then that game doesn't belong to us.

That depends. Did the nba come out and say the refs blew a big time call in that game like they did in this one?

I doubt it would be left up to us fans to decide

I don't see your point?

My point is to prevent an unjust outcome (which this clearly is the case here - the NBA admitted as much), there should be an avenue for a team to ask for a review. Currently refs can only review out of bound plays in the final 2 minutes and not the foul or non-foul. One could argue refs missing a 'foul' call is just as important as missing an out of bound call.

Fair point. Maybe Silver could implement something like this as ridiculous as it sounds. If you're ledger is in the negatives at the end of the season, and it costs you the playoffs, get a monetary reward.

I don't think you can do much about this, but if you were to tie referee compensation or the amount of games they get to ref in the playoffs (again compensation) they might be less likely to just swallow the whistle. Generally refs don't want to decide the game... blowing the whistle is an act that may be viewed as something they will be held more accountable for than not making a call.

The crew last night was bad... so many late calls. The rec league I play in refs the same way... watch the results and if the guy misses call a foul. It was bush league last night.

That no call sucked but it happens to every team multiple times a year and that won't be the reason we miss the playoffs if we do

Plus the refs are graded and it'll affect their ability to get playoffs games as stated before
