What's new

NBA.com article on the Jazz.

What PG makes sense for the Jazz? Jeff Teague would have required a vast overpay for the Hawks to pass. Jarret Jack is a score first guard that would have done nothing to improve our bigs, and is closing in on 30. I don't think you can doc them much for taking a chance on Burke over the other options available.

God it's been so slow around here, I've been waiting for someone to bring this up so I could stir the pot:

Schroeder would have been shrewder!

Since we claim we want a championship caliber defensive team, he was the only logical option. I don't understand the philosophy of drafting a player like Burke and hoping he'll be effective despite his lack of a first step combined with a lack of size.

Could have saved a draft pick and some money, while getting the true PG. Instead, we drafted the guy that everyone says is a great PG because he led his team to the national championship, despite the fact he played on a team full of NBA 1st round prospects, and yet only had 3 assists in the championship game.

Because you posted a few highlight videos you think Burke supporters are going to to nuts over your comments? Back to troll school for you!

Cannot wait to bump every 'Burke sucks' post in two years time.

Cannot wait, bros.

I hope you do. I will gladly take it if I'm wrong.
Me too. Although I'm not saying he sucks and is a bust, although he sure did in Orlando. My guess is Burke develops into a good, but not great, PG. Maybe top-15 in the league. Jazz will never have a "Big-3" model, so they need four very good players, with four more solid rotation guys. Right now, I put Hayward, Favors and Kanter in the top category (or with the potential to get there). Burke and Burks are in the next tier. Really need an impact player out of the draft and one more via free agency.

Hey fools, Burke is not under-sized.

Thx.
