Was playing pickup at the local Lifetime... guy who just finished his last college year was playing... 6'2ish... he hit shots from 8-10 feet behind the nba three point line off the dribble and fading back/sideways. There are layers to this stuff.

Played in the same league as Robert Swift a couple years ago... he averaged like 30 and 30... hit threes and stuff. only didn't score more because I think he felt bad. There were lots of bigs in the league so it wasn't like a 6' and under thing... NBA players are so effing good.

Sidenote - Robert Swift looks like a meth head... but was a super cool guy... was working on the court with a few of the junior college guys and was genuinely pleasant to play against.

yep. martin looked like a knock down shooter and his defense was actually great over the course of the game. his length really showed - contesting shots, getting his hands on balls (yeah, i said that), etc. just wish he weren't fat, because he looks legit.

It was for multiple games not just one possession.

On the 53 possessions when he was guarding Harden he held him to 3-14 from the field for 12 points total.

In the playoffs, nonetheless.
 
So. . . Bradley, Allen, Niang, Ray and Martin all played fairly well?

I’d like to see those 5 start the game together and see how it looks. Utah is auditioning for spots on the Stars this summer.

Fat guys becoming skinnier is one of the easier things to fix. I'd rather take a fat guy and make him skinny than take a skinny guy and try to beef him up.
 
Grayson Allen yesterday was a microcosm of everything i saw of him over 100+ games in college.

the bad: small for a sg, athletic on paper but not so much in games, inconsistent shooter, doesn't defend much,
the good: can get his jump shot almost at will, smart player who makes good decisions with the ball, good passer.

people will focus on the negative things i said because that's what the internet does, but i want to be clear that it was just one game - and while he's older - he can certainly improve in some of those aspects.

Rare would have held him to 2-14 and given Harden buckets on the other end all dayyyyyyy!
 
When I enter the local run guys start heading for the exists cause they know **** is about to go down!
