Yeah absolutely not a fan of The 100, way too hokey and juvenile, and not juvenile in the "made for kids" way, but seems like the scripts are written by very immature writers. Dialogue is terrible. And good hell, how many times can you cauterize wounds, it's like they have one tool in their bag and by god they are going to use it on EVERYTHING! Broken leg? CAUTERIZE! Minor scratch? CAUTERIZE! Unwanted pregnancy? CAUTERIZE! The writers did no research at all on how survival works on that level and basically went immediately to Lord of the Flies. Terrible.

Anyway, we did really enjoy Suits. I mean, not very realistic from a law or lawyer or professional firm standpoint, but very entertaining, engaging characters, great situations, fun solutions to lots of them, the back and forth between Harvey and Louis. IMO Louis ended up as the best character, and it is funny how fast the schtick around Ross wore thin. I basically didn't notice his absence when he left. He was fun as a prodigy, insufferable as a Warrior for Justice and the Law. They did his character kind of dirty, imo. I like Harvey a lot but they put way too much effort into making him superman in a suit, so it was nice to see him fall flat on several occasions and even lose out to Louis now and then. But all in all a fun series, great watch, really brought you in and made you feel like you were being given access to the forbidden fortress of lawyers and their shady deals.

I mean I can’t really deny anything that you said but at the same time we both have different ways we view TV. You seem to focus on it being realistic which is totally fine and I absolutely get it. When watching sports movies that are so unrealistic or the acting is so bad or the situations aren’t realistic I get turned off by it. I turned off a basketball movie the other day because it was so cringe.

I like watching sci-fi that is kind of out there like that. I think they really started getting wild with the later seasons. From a pure entertainment perspective I loved The 100 honestly. I might rewatch it now a few years later and see if my original opinions on it hold up.

I think with Suits I really came away liking Harvey the most but I do agree with you that Louis might be the most well thought out character and the acting with him was so good. Impressively good. Mike’s character did really get done dirty. I think his character arc was perfectly fine when he left. I didn’t miss him per se but he really was an awesome character in his own right. I really loved Suits.

Oh I'm all on on speculative sci-fi. I'm an amateur writer and that's my preferred genre. For the 100 it just didn't get me into the world enough for the whole suspension of disbelief thing to kick in and felt like a high school production being marketed as a cutting edge sci-fi epic, with too many stereotypes and stereotypical stupid behavior for me to get immersed in the world. Realism isn't the biggest deal but once they lose that connection then all those things stick out like a sore thumb. And the cauterize thing really stuck out because the adults said that one girl was partly being sent because she had medical training from a young age and she kept referencing her medical training while she said "oh no, a sliver? CAUTERIZE! It's the only way to save the entire limb from my years of medical training". Yeah they just hit the dumb factor for me too much. But I get that it's entertaining and don't begrudge anyone enjoying it. We've even revisited it a few times. Hell one of my family's, and one of my personal, favorite movies is Mr. Deeds, an objectively stupid movie. So there's really no such thing as taste with something so subjective as entertainment. Hell I understand people like watching a bunch of dudes run around a giant field kicking a ball that almost NEVER goes in the goal. Yep, no such thing as taste. lol
 
I'm watching a BBC show based on my favorite book by one of my favorite writers, China Mieville, "The City and The City." It's super dense and dark, but really really well done. My biggest gripe is that the lead actor, David Morrissey (who was the Governor in Walking Dead), sounds just like Liam Neeson, and I keep getting pulled out by that. (It's on Prime, FYI.)

The basic idea is that there are 2 cities, Beszel and Ul Qoma, which are physically co-located but are maybe kind of in different dimensions, but also kind of blend, and people who live in them have to be trained to only see their city. A girl who lives in Ul Qoma's body is found in Beszel, and it's a murder mystery. China Mieville is probably the leading author in the SF genre known as the New Weird.

Landman - half a season in and it’s getting good.

Started out slow but it’s turning into a weird combo of Breaking Bad x There Will Be Blood x Riverdale.. lol..

Still can’t stand the long winded preachy speeches praising the oil industry though..

Very good. I always hated Puff Daddy and thought he was a douche. Nice to see the confirmation. What a piece of crap.

I just think if there was similar amount of scandal regarding LeBron, we would have heard about it.
I already knew a ton of dirt about diddy. This documentary just showed me a bunch more I didn't know.
I think LeBron is a good dude. Apples to oranges

Ya Leonardo DiCaprio was there, Justin bieber, diddys mom.... A whole bunch of celebrities.
Diddy beat the hell out many women, he kidnapped a woman, he pulled a gun on kid Cudi, he swindled and stole from all his business partners, he hired a jiggalo to **** his girl for days on end while high on molly and ghb and coke. Diddy would collect the semen from the jiggalo and save and bust it out occasionally and make his girl drink it and play with it. Diddly sexually assaulted men. He was responsible for the deaths of 9 people at a party he threw in a high school gym. He had orgies with his sons. He put out a bounty on tupac and Suge night.
He possibly shot a girl in the face at a party (his friend took the fall for it though). He had many out of court settlements for various scandals.
He turned biggies funeral into a huge extravaganza..... And then made biggies estate pay for it.

There is a bunch more stuff I can't come up right now.
I think that the reason the diddy documentary was so good is because there was so much content to go through.

If LeBron attended some diddy parties and that's about it then I don't think it would be super interesting.
