I would say my biggest complaint is that aside from named characters none of the aliens were recognizable. Not one, that I remember seeing, was the same from a species in any of the other star wars movies.
Dude who stuck his head out of the ground as the droid rolls by early on was in the original Star Wars and is the character ET is based off of I believe.
Anyone else think the villain was too much like severus snape?
Hekate said:I think that was the point. He is not Vader but he is what Anakin should have been.
Boyega is my favorite, though. Easily the best one of the three. His energy kept the movie alive at some points. He was kind of a glue guy.
Oscar Isaac is good too but he is much more experienced.
Meh. Boyega was just sort of there for me. Nothing special. Isaac brought legit acting to his character.

I agree and I don't want all known aliens. but it would have tied it to the originally trilogy more if there had been a Twilek in the bar or a another wookie or a rodian in the Rebel HQ...
It's a minor annoyance but just a way I'd have improved it if I was involved.
