Do you mean, in and of itself? That does not seem to be true. Do you mean, is CO2 an important trigger for a variety of processes, which combined with other changes we make, is currently triggering the start of a mass extinction? I accept the evidence that this is happening.
If you read the theory on methane caused extinction, they said it took over 10,000 years for the global warming to cause devastation. I think we have a few years left to figure this thing out.
