What's new

New theory on mass extinction in Permian period.

It's ****ing omnipotent God! Not some mortal dude who makes mistakes. These little comparisons probably sound so good in your heads, but you are not describing a perfect being who is all good, all powerful, and created the universe, who is worthy of dedicating your life and praying too.

You can't have it both ways, what you are describing is pretty much just nature at work, why attach God to that at all? I highly doubt you view the God you pray to every night as some psycho who keeps destroying his creation to make another.

Dat app doe.

You believe CO2 is going to cause a mass extinction?

Do you mean, in and of itself? That does not seem to be true. Do you mean, is CO2 an important trigger for a variety of processes, which combined with other changes we make, is currently triggering the start of a mass extinction? I accept the evidence that this is happening.

If you read the theory on methane caused extinction, they said it took over 10,000 years for the global warming to cause devastation. I think we have a few years left to figure this thing out.

90-95% of all life died.

Saying oh don't worry about it we are not yet on track to destroy 95% of life is ricockulous. Google methane plumes. Google arctic tundra methane. **** doesn't need to get apocalyptic for it to suck hard.
