What global warming? We had the most brutal winter here in years. Ice is still 3 ft on lakes and my backyard is full of snow. Only part I hate about Canada is 6 month of freaking winter.
Global =/= North America

Sometimes when the ship has changed course due to the tides, you need to change direction again.
Sometimes when you are forming a pottery dish, and it starts getting warped, you need to mash it up a bit and then continue.
Sometimes when your tree is growing unruly and the fruit is no longer edible, you need to prune it back and help it along.
Sometimes when your team is not getting to the finals you need to cut loose some players and grow some new ones.
Sometimes when your fields stop producing you need to burn it all down and start again next year.
Sometimes when your planet experiment is going a little off track you need to drop an asteroid or erupt a volcano to get a fresh start.
Sometimes when your bedpan is full, you need to empty it and start over.

that crazy scientist can't seem to make his mind... so many massive extinctions happened already and I bet we are due for more in the future.
Naturally, since a mass extinction is probably inevitable, we should hurry it along.
If you read the theory on methane caused extinction, they said it took over 10,000 years for the global warming to cause devastation. I think we have a few years left to figure this thing out.
God lives on another planet, probably nearby in some solar system within the Milky Way Galaxy, but he knew there'd be volcanos and asteroids and "Planet X"/s and such, so he designed a system with resilience. . . i.e. "evolution" so that when bad things happen on a distant planet, "life" will "re-boot" and go on somehow. . . .
However, that said, you've got a good theory here and it is worthy of discussion. . . .
So, it's OK to make it happen faster?
Warmiac: Let's blame a raindrop for the flood!
I highly doubt you view the God you pray to every night as some psycho who keeps destroying his creation to make another.
