Other states restrict them to certain days and actually enforce those laws while other states designate certain areas. Never lived in Utah, but that's pretty silly to allow them all month. Here in Arizona, they restrict the use in the city to about 3-4 days around New Years and July 4. That's better than an entire month, lol.

Man I remember one of the last jobs I did at the hospital, this nurse called me up and asked me to come to the ward, some junkie was in for wound care (gangrene), he was in a shared room and she walked in on his girlfriend sucking his dick. She told me, "Look its ok, I told them that if it happens again I'll get security involved." I said "What the ****? Kelly, there is no way I'm sucking that dudes dick!"

As I said, I am not a fan of fireworks, so I largely agree with you. However, some people really love fireworks, and clearly have a great time with them. My neighbor was setting **** off from 9pm until 1 am on New Years. It annoyed me some, but I put in earplugs and brought the dog beds in my room so the pups stayed calm. As long as he is responsible, I don't have an issue with them celebrating their way.

Fireworks boost economy, bring families together, build community, and some people really find joy in watching them.

Let people do things responsibly.

Ya you listed a bunch of cons about dogs. I can lists a bunch of pros though as well.
Only one pro for fireworks. look cool. Look cool doesn't justify all the cons. The pros of dogs do justify the cons. Dogs and fireworks are a very poor comparison.
Also, I have a dog. Zero of the cons you listed apply to my dog. Many of the cons I listed for fireworks apply to all fireworks. Even responsible firework users.
