NFL Offseason

Ehhh...unless he shot himself, killed someone or raped someone, a fight is a non-issue these days.
It would be a non-issue. Except Marshall has already served at least one suspension due to off the field behavior. This is at least his 6th incident and he served a 3 or 4 game suspension for the last one. If this is as bad as it sounds he could get a long suspension.

Scary? No, not really. Their o-line still blows, Forte's coming off a major injury, and their defense is quickly approaching that over the hill status.

o-line still blows...completely agree with you there. Forte should be ok, but any knee injury to a RB is something to worry about. Urlacher is the only defensive player that's at the tail end of his career, and Mario would be brought in to replace Urlacher. In the meantime, the Bears would line up Briggs, Urlacher, and Mario as the 3 LB's. I don't care what anyone says...that's a damn scary defense.

Nfl.com has an article stating that with the addition of Marshall, the Bears now have the best offense in the NFC North. I'm guessing the writer of that article forgot that Green Bay and Detroit are still in the NFC North.

If the Bears address the o-line I'd argue that our offense is better than both GB and Detroit. Forte's injury plays a part as well, but from what I've read on him he should be ok.

Williams would play d end, not lb. He played lb as an olb in a 3-4. He wouldn't play olb in a 4-3. Football 101.

Should be okay? He looked awful in the Pro Bowl where guys are usually scampering for 10 yards on every play. And it typically takes two years to get back to full health with knee injuries, if he even ever fully recovers. I like Forte but this year is a big question mark for him imo. And to say their offense will be better than the Packers and/or Lions is ridiculous. Your offensive line is the worst of the three and your qb is the shakiest of the three. Great, your running back, IF healthy, is the best of the bunch, but this is a passing league and while the Lions and Packers are putting up 31 points one game and 42 the next, the Bears will be ho-humming along at 24 and 27.

I'd have to agree with Wes. I don't think you can say that the Bears offense is the best of the three until they have proven to be better then GB and Detroit. All offense begins and ends with the offensive line. A great O-line can make mediocre QB's and RB's above average. A bad O-line takes great QB's and RB's and makes them subpar.
