Agreed. I can't wait to watch the replay on NFL Network. I'll be able to watch it without the roller coaster of emotions. The last 4 minutes of the Saints/49ers was truly fun to watch

Despite this butt whoopin the Broncos are getting I am proud of the team. I never expected them to make the playoffs mush less the second round after beating the hated Steelers. Good season for the Broncos.
Now I hope they can get some wide receivers that wont drop so many passes and have Elway work on Tebow all off season.
Yeah, they need a lot of help on d though, right? I mean, Miller's a stud and Dumervil can hopefully regain his stud form, but Bailey and Dawkins are old as hell. I'm surprised at their lack of a pass rush. Maybe a DT or DE is needed? Alson Jeffrey is slipping and may be had in the 2nd round as a wr. He'd be a hell of a weapon for Tebow. If they could get him and a pass catching tight end in the 3rd round or 4th round (none are rated that high this year), and fill out their d in every other round (1st, etc.), I think that's their best strategy. You won't be able to honestly assess Tebow without putting weapons around him. Get him these guys and then solidify your d in every other round along with maybe one or two signings in free agency.
Oh I agree that there is lots of work to do. WRs, Safties, TEs... Only position that I think needs no focus is the O-Line. I really like the trio of Miller, Dumerveil and DJ Willaims on D. They can build around that.
Agreed. Other than those three guys though, I feel the rest of their d is shaky though, no? Didn't they draft some young corners/safeties in the last three years?
In 2011 they focussed on defense. drated a few LBs, a FS , DB...
In 2010 a pair of CB
In 2009 a couple of defensive guys.
The problem is that the vast majority of them are gone or amounted to nothing. The only real defensive jewel int he recent drafts has been Miller. The defense needs alot or work but at least they have a foundation (Miller, Dumerveil and DJ Williams) to build around. That is new.
Pretty much what I thought. IMO, they need to draft the best available defender in the 1st, target Alshon Jeffrey in the 2nd, and go defense with a pass catching tight end somewhere thereafter.
Get a couple really solid guys on that D-Line and the Broncos could have the best pass rush in the league. It is already scary.
Yeah, if a stud lineman is there in the 1st, get him. In today's NFL, a the front four is even more important than ever with all the rules that favor offenses.
You have good cap space too. The best info I could find showed that you had the fifth most (as of 8/11/11) with 24M. Add in the fact that about 30M of that was/is Orton, Bailey and Dawkins, and you could be in a good spot.
You mean work the trade scenarios for Tebow all offseason? Cuz that's what's gonna happen.I'd like the Broncos to focus on defense and WRs in the draft. Then have Elway just work Tebow all offseason. Hard.
