<obnoxious beyond anything>WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO'S GOT IT BETTER THAN US?????? NO ONE!!!

/obnoxious crap

But this time, it's true.

I can't wait 'til the Niners get a bye and lose at home in the divisional playoff round. Katie won't reply to this message not because he has me on ignore. He won't reply to me or bet me on this because he doesn't have the *****. But everyone already knows this.

You're a bitter man, Hobo.

Aside from your obvious emotional bent, what is it that makes you so certain that SF is bound to flame out of the playoffs?

As a Niners fan, I am encouraged by the fact that they have played and beaten several top teams in the league. If they had been benefiting solely from the weak division they're in, I might see the logic. But really, I don't believe that the confidence they have found is somehow going to melt away once they hit the playoffs. I am not certain that they are good enough to take down the Packers, but hey, they are as close as anyone.

If you don't mind, though, I really am curious as to why you believe they will get immediately blown out of the playoffs.

Bitter? About what? I'm glad the Eagles are losing to be honest and hope they lose out so they can get better draft picks. As far as my general tone, I suppose it does sound a bit much. I simply can't stand loudmouths who brag about their team but when push comes to shove won't stake something to show much faith they supposedly have in said team. If not money, something. Katie, you name it. I'm being the loudmouth now so what would you be willing to wager as far as the Niners divisional round playoff game? I'm curious so if someone would respond to this so she can see it, I'd appreciate it.

As far as why I think they'll lose, I have two major reasons, the first of which is history. I feel like every year or so, there's a team like this, who has an easier schedule, has some luck, gets the #1 or more often, #2 seed, and then flames out in the divisional round when they play someone of note. Someone who's hungry and not just complacent that they got the #2 seed. The Falcons were sort of like this last year. The Bears in the Dick Jauron era were definitely like this. My other reason has to do with their sweet schedule. The Niners have beat some solid teams: the Bengals, the Cowboys, the Lions. Are any of them actually going to make the playoffs though? Maybe the Cowboys but I don't think the other two will. In short, they've been the recipient of an easy schedule and have even easier games to come. Once they play someone real like Baltimore in eight days, let's see how they do. I just don't see it ending too well for them. In the second round of the playoffs, I think the Saints could give them fits because of their mere ability to out-offense them. Perhaps I'm wrong. Everyone in the NFC is largely unimpressive in my opinion while the AFC has a deeper group of teams with resumes, qb's, and coaching. But with Payton, Brees, and company, I think the Niners could be shellshocked like they've not been all year...even with a suspect defense.

Quoted so Katie can see it.

The 9ers have everything but an elite QB. They are tough in the trenches, have great STs, really good D, and weapons. Unlike their last fiery coach this guy can run an offense and the team is clearly buying in. Even though I am not a fan of Smith, Harbaugh is using him in an efficient manner which is working. Who knows what will happen the rest of the way but so far they have been very impressive and there is just no reason to bag on somebody enjoying it. That team has had a little while since success.

As far as betting against the 9ers going to the championship game it's just a loaded bet. No serious better would take it. He ought to at least offer great odds or wait until the playoffs. The season is barely halfway over and a lot can happen to a team.

How many teams have won Superbowls without an elite QB lately?

I can't believe we have something else in common besides the Jazz.
I knew I shouldn't have opened this thread.
