No Extension for Walker Kessler?

Saw Walker at fear factory tonight. Seems like a genuinely good guy, very down to earth talking with people. Whatever happens with him, hoping the best for him and our team for sure.

I remember Jerry Sloan once saying that a player has to be able to knock down wide open 15-17 footers with about 70% regularity or the offense just stalls when they are on the court.

The same Jerry Sloan consistently played Ostertag and the Jazz offense was just fine.

That is awful for Kessler. I was worried this was the outcome when they sent him for more testing.

What a ****ing bummer though for Kessler. Dude made extremely impressive shooting strides.

I guess he could still get a big offer from somebody, but it certainly less likely now.

Yeah, I’m not sure I see a path for him getting more than what we were offering him now. It’s very unfortunate for Walker. But it might be a good way to keep him around.

Absolutely not! They should have traded him last deadline, now their relationship is going to be awful and his trade value is much lower. Kessler just does not fit at all what Hardy wants in an NBA center and has no future on this team yet they won't move him.

A torn labrum is just a nightmarish injury for a dude who spends a lot of time with his hands up, rebounding, trying to block people and taking hits to the shoulder joint.

Walker may be in for a very long recovery. And the timing couldn't be worse for him.
