What's new

No more Fes...

Get the hell out Fess! And stay out!

Ya could've been a contender, but you were lazy noncommittal didn't work listen or improve, and didn't seem to care about basketball at all. Thanks for wasting the last couple years of my life. Hope he gets a permanent hangnail and is forced to retire.

One can only hope NO MORE FESS...

What a complete waste of time and money

With some uncertainty remaining about Okur, I think the Jazz will still be needing/wanting another guy who could play C.

Not saying it should be Fes, but perhaps an Elson like guy, or another young project type. (Fes is still a possibility)

Why?

Jefferson can play C. Favors can play C. Kanter can play C. I don't see a need for another C.

Edit: And I'm not even counting Okur who can play C, if he can play.

I agree... They can, but if you're counting on a guy (or two guys) at two positions, and he gets hurt, you lose at both positions, and become thin pretty quick.

Last year, i was surprised when the Jazz signed Elson... I was thinking like you are that they had plenty of guys who could play C, but when Okur was not able to go, Elson and Fes both ended up laying a whole lot more minutes than they should have.

I don't think you are wrong at all, but guys do get hurt, and having another back-up who can defend at the C position in a pinch is usually a good investment.

C: Jefferson, Kanter, Okur, Favors
PF: Millsap Favors, Evans
SF: Millsap, Evans, Miles

I love the versatility, but a few key guys playing more than one position (Millsap, Favors, Evans, and possibly Big Al and Okur). If you lose two of them at the same time for a few games, you are thin.

I would like to see a project type Big in the mix somewhere.
