I remember watching his pre draft workout videos in an empty gym and being so impressed that I thought he would dominate the nba.

That is a way different situation. That was a a stacked team and the jazz weren’t at full strength as Bogey wasn’t available as our second leashing scorer. This Griz team isn’t on the same level as those Nuggets.
 
KP has skills but he’s not cut from the same cloth as Doncic mentally. Dallas looked past all that in the hopes of Nowitzki 2.0. Truthfully, I never cared for the model to begin with. If you’re 7 ft and can’t post up or rebound, what good are you.

Apparently at some point 67 wins and a championship against LeBron. So I don't blame them for taking a chance.
