Non-Salty Utah Utes 2012 Discussion

Since Salty and co burned that last thread and pissed all over it, here is another one for people who want to talk about the Utes and not themselves for 20+ pages in a row. That being said,

Rumors are Boise St's OC and Crowton are high on KWhitt's list. I don't want Crowton, but he can recruit. Very well. I think Boise's OC would be perfect. They run a pro-style offense, he is very creative, and effective. He turned a 5'11" horse faced doufus into a fantastic QB. What could this guy do with Wynn, and a 6'6 strong armed gunslinger? Kind of exciting.

In all seriousness. Salty, keep your crap out of this thread. Please. No more than one post per page.

Seriously. How many teams have their mascot as their QB? Boise just does everything right.

Already been tried. It was ignored.

LOL. Sorry, didn't notice it. We should merge the two. I enjoyed the last thread, until the last 20 pages. Or 3/4th's of Salty's posts.

You just apologized to a BYU fan who started a troll thread. You're obviously in over your head.

Salty is re-hired. We need him to keep Conan/Trout/Scat busy.

Lol. Or I don't care enough to actually read it.

How about Coach K, pulling off a little magic tonight with his first PAC-12 win. Nice.

Who do think will be the star player for the Utes next year? I really don't think it'll be John White again because we picked up York and we still have Langi. BTW, I just finished watching the Utes 2004 Fiesta Bowl win, 2008 Sugar Bowl, and Sun Bowl highlights. Utah's defense in 2004 was downright dirty.

This thread fails. Rookie mistake. Ute threads on this board without me die quickly.

Instead of me you got a bunch of posts from BYU fans, several talking about me, lol.

Next time keep the trolls out instead.

As for the Utes... If there is any chance to get Boise State's OC, they have to jump on that. It would be such a huge upgrade. Yep, this thread (or another one since this one starts out as such a failure) would probably turn into another 80+ page thread, with me betting all the trolls the Utes would go undefeated.

Very interesting about the Boise State OC. With that being said, I'd still be a bit cautious. If I remember correctly, Boise State was breaking in a new OC this year after their last OC bolted for Texas. So he basically had one year on the job at BSU with Kellen Moore as a senior and 4th year starter.

Not saying he'd be a bad hire, but I'd like to learn a little more about the guy. Also, you have to wonder if Utah can lure him away from Boise. Doesn't Boise's HC make about as much as Whit? Does that mean the same for their assistants? And even though I think the Big East is garbage, they are now also in a BCS conference. Makes me wonder if Utah can/will outbid for him and if he would take what some would consider to be a lateral move.

I think one thing is clear at this point: ARod is NOT Whit's first choice. If he was, that decision would have been made already. Those who thought that this was ARod's job to lose were wrong.....

Looks like Boise State's OC is headed to Florida. It scares the **** outta me that Gary Crowton's name has been floated out there. I'm hoping there's no legs to that rumor. Even as an OC he doesn't have a track record of sustained success anywhere he's been.

The key to success in hiring Gary Crowton. An 18 month contract. He is always fantastic his first year. No one has seen his act before and he catches everyone by surprise. The get him for three months before and three months after for two recruiting classes. Then relegate him to an office job until another sucker takes him off your hands.

I bet Whitt takes a long time to look at everyone, then come middle of Feb, he promotes ARoddick.
