It felt to me that keyonte stopped trying so had and let the offense find him good shots.

NBA Cup here we come! Not worried in the slightest about Cody either. The only aspect of his game that has been deficient is his outside shooting, his handle is solid, his defense is solid and he's totally solid playing in clutch time as well. Not a single turnover in the last two games; totally solid tonight in every category. What would you rather have Buzelis? Been relegated to G League mostly, looked like a deer in the headlights for four shaky minutes. Cody may be struggling from the field but he never looks like that! He stays healthy, kid's gonna be a stud!

Anyway, felt good to see John and Colin and Keyonte all break out together and get the monkey of their backs. Gotta be hard for dawgs like these to be on a Tank team, when all they want to do is compete! And Kessler as well, Stacy King couldn't find enough superlatives to describe this big that raced up and down the court to make his presence known on both ends!

This version of John Collins could draw interest
I think this is the key takeaway from this game- Collins' has decided he has to put in some effort to get traded to a better team, and with the injury he's getting more on court minutes to show off. I'm just surprised at how much a little more energy makes to his game- it elevates it considerably.

The Jazz are massively better with Flip on the floor. He plays with a cocktail attitude and it's already rubbing off on the guys. That's a stat you can't see on a sheet.

Collins is a good player that got stuck on a losing team. It's hard to get motivation to play hard on a tanking team that puts much worse players ahead of you. If he gets traded to a contender (like Gafford last year) we will see a very different John Collins.

Yep, he has his motivation, now it'll be interesting if he has the fortitude to keep the energy level high, because no one's going to trade for him based on one or two good games...

Collins isnt playing to get traded. He is a blue collar guy who is trying hard to help his team no matter what. Thats the rep he has always had, and that he has backed up in his interviews and with his play despite being in bad teams for a while now.

Doesnt mean he wont get traded.. but he isnt the worst guy to keep around either. Locker room / on court leader who definitely puts in the work in games as well as in the gym.
