What's new

I would be pretty happy if Ace played like he did today in most of the games this season. I thought he played within the offense, worked hard, and made some positive impacts. It would be nice to have a few scoring outbursts to get us excited about, but I love the fact that he seems very coachable.

I don't care what anyone says, I hate that we play Svi the second or third most minutes a night. I want to see the young guys play. I do not care if we lose by 40. Hendricks and Ace should both be getting 25 minutes a game at minimum. We do not want to watch Svi get 37 minutes a night.
Svi is playing with an extremely high level of effort. I would love for our young guys to play with that much effort and take Svi's minutes.

Anyone know if Collier is truly benched or if he’s not actually healthy? 2nd game in a row he’s a “healthy” scratch.

He has done like less than 5 practices with the team since August because of his injury so he's not in sync with the rest of the team.

Hardy’s rotation right now is complete ********. Get the young guys some burn and some better opportunities
Could've quoted plenty of others, but let's go with this.

The young guys played 120 minutes, the vets played 120 minutes. 47 of those vet minutes were Nurk and K-Love. Among the young guys there's not a center in there. The only player capable of spelling at 5 for a few minutes is Flip.

Sure, play Lauri 5 mins less. Not only to give those minutes to Ace or someone else, but to spare Markkanen himself.

But: if game after game after game everyone goes crazy about Svi's minutes as if that's somehow a franchise-altering decision... I mean, come on, there's plenty of things to criticize Hardy for, but this level is just wild and completely overblown.

And: the minutes available are from Markkanen and Svi. If you want more minutes for Hendricks, that's less for Flip and Ace - not from Svi. If you want more minutes for Ace etc.

Hendricks can play the 5 in some lineups.

Hendricks can play the 5 in some lineups.
You could say that about anyone on the roster. Some would be merely bad, some would be a joke.

But Hendricks is not a center, he will never be a center, he will never (on any kind of serious team) be asked to play center. "Developing" him to be a center is not a thought anyone should have. Or that him playing center is really that helpful to his development. Let alone when he's still coming back from being out for a full year.

He was already gassed in Boston. Tonight he fumbles with the ball few times unlike in any of six first games. That high minutes probably signals Hardy is dumb. Lauri hasn't advanced on ball skills and bases his game on movement. He can't average 37minutes w/o his production taking real bumps.

Idk if Lauri is just one of those guys who always looks like he has a sore back, but he does look a little worn down out there. 37MPG is a lot for any player, and I'm not sure the point of pushing Lauri so hard especially with his injury history.

Agreed, but he needs to loosen up a bit. He’s playing hard, but not very aggressive. Sometimes he’ll get a good look and you can tell he’s pressing. I think the other top draft picks are playing so much more free and aggressive. Ace probably needs to be on the rails more than others, but I hope he gets more comfortable over time.

Cause Austin said we aren't tanking anymore. Gotta get to 30 wins and give up teh pick!!! So we basically have to run Lauri into the ground to get that almost play in worthy hallowed ground.
