What's new

What's most surprising to me is he was this good in a B2B game. That end of the road trip looked really rough for him, but it was partly bc Hardy overplayed his minutes in the early season, imo.

Best part of this game was Ace first half, though!

And what I meant wasn't Lauri's good game means we should keep him, I meant that the young players having a good game means we might want to keep him because our window looks like it's being pushed forward.

Looks like I missed the Ace Bailey breakout game. On the bright side, it looks like I missed a no defense game.

I'm thinking Cody could benefit from playing in the GLeague and getting 18FGA per game. He needs to learn how to incorporate himself in to the offense.

It's nice to see Tony Bradley getting minutes.

It's even nicer seeing Ace as the best player on the floor.
2nd best.
Lauri

I dont understand why people on this board keep insisting that we get rid of him. . .
I think it's because he is really good and makes it harder to lose and the people on the board you are speaking of want to keep our pick and get into the top 3 or 4 of the next draft.

If it is absolutely OK for you Jazz lose their 2026 1st round pick to OKC then don't trade Lauri and start winning so many games as ever possible and make the playoffs.
But don't whine and cry then if Jazz miss Dybantsa, Peterson, Boozer and other 2026 top NBA draft prospects.

If you want Jazz keep their 2026 1st round pick then trading Lauri is a must.
Because Lauri is win now player so he doesn't fit Jazz timeline not now, not into future and not ever because Jazz success years are at least 5-7 yrs away.

So if that's the case then pick your poison and think is it worth to win lets say 40-42 games
and make to play in / playoffs or is it better start hard tanking and lose so many games as ever possible to keep your 2026 1st round pick

To get a 14% chance to get a player that only has a 25% chance as being as good as Lauri. Jazz are without Kessler for the entire year, the Tank is already engaged as much as it probably can be with youngsters playing big minutes. It would be the stupidest thing in the world to sell Lauri for pennies on the dollar.

Really?
Maybe these news can bring some extra for the Jazz if Lauri will be traded.

You simply said you didn't understand why anyone wants to trade Lauri.
I was just helping you understand is all.

I can't speak for everyone but I bet many who want to trade Lauri are hoping to get a haul rather than hoping for pennies.

Just take a look at the Nov.+Dec schedule and chill. No way Jazz will be more than 10-20, and that's optimistic. Then we reach 2026 and bc bad standings, they will tell players soon after that, with minor issues to sit out game here and there bc it's too hard to catch up and you don't wanna risk health.

Gotta love the wild swings around here. We beat a horrible team tanking their asses off and all the sudden we're playoff contenders. I've seen enough games to believe we'll safely keep the pick. Maybe won't have the worst record, but that didn't work for **** last year anyway.
