What's new

Game Thread Oct 02, 2022 04:00PM MT: Jazz at Raptors (Preseason)

Added to Calendar: 10-02-22

Today was disappointing for the jazz but I have to say this raptor team could be special. That starting lineup is a matchup nightmare and I really like the young guys that they have coming off the bench now. They have length and athleticism everywhere. I wouldn't be surprised to see them at the top of the east this year.
They did indeed look good. And unlike us, they knew how they wanted/needed to play. Eventually made a big difference.

Probably because he wants to set some sort of tone and get w/e his system is down by playing more consistent rotations. Performances in pre-season games arent going to be what makes or breaks a player making the team.
It absolutely will be what makes or breaks a player making this team. I would expect over the next few games that we end up seeing completely different rotations to hopefully give guys a real opportunity to get comfortable for an extended stretch of minutes. At least that is what a good coach would do.

IDK why everyone is so down on THT when I think he might have been the only guard on the team to successfully turn the corner and finish at the rim on a drive.

You think a small sample of a pre-season game is going to beat what they are seeing day in and day out in 2 weeks of training camp?

Will Hardy is a rookie too. An extreme coaching rookie becuase of his age and lack of experience. He's coaching himself right now. He just wants to get his **** implemented probably and isnt interested in making pre-season games a battle for the back end of the roster.

Because I've spent some time recently watching him in games from last year. I was pretty hopeful that he'd be a pleasant surprise. He seemed noticeably heavier, slower, and had less lift today.

After watching the game, I’m not so sure we aren’t the worst team in the nba. I’m thinking 15-18 wins. Start Clarkson and play him for 48 min a game. :D
