First take on Walt is that he's a backup. NBA speed and length are a big adjustment for him. He's not beating guys and getting to the rim. He needs to base his game off making deep shots, which he'll probably be able to do.

He's quite clearly pg3 at the moment, needs some of that SLOMO crafty in the paint.

and he's still very young. a 6'9" 3 and D is extremely valuable in the meantime.

I don't like the idea of asking Cody to create offense from a cold start in the corner. Good defenders will just force him baseline. He's got to get himself in the middle of the floor.

the defense was nightmarish. very hard to watch. we are going to have to convince ourselves to love offensive basketball and focus on that side of the court this year. kessler will help, but they will be horrendous.
