What's new

I finally gave up on Quin when late last season he had that passionate press conference where he argued that the Jazz don't have a problem with blowing leads or failing to close games.

I believe this was directly before they blew a 17 point 4th quarter lead in a loss.
And all of his numbers were completely wrong and it was clear he was trying to justify their BS

I was excited to watch some TWolves basketball this year but they are unbearable to watch. KAT is the most annoying player to watch in the league, I couldn't imagine counting on him to win games for your team. He should be an MVP candidate but no one has ever taught him how to play basketball. He just whines in the most dramatic way possible anytime something goes wrong, and things go wrong so damn often with this TWolves franchise. I was really high on them, but watching that team for 2 games I'm really concerned for them.

Rudy is amazing, but one of the things he couldn't do in UTA was change the culture as a leader. Guys don't really respond to Rudy in the same way even if he's a grinder, it has to be someone else....but they don't have that guy. I think Bev and Vando meant a lot for that team in how they set the tone. Beasley isn't the most amazing player, but he's obviously got that ******* in him and he very much likes to compete.

I think the TWolves might have run into Jimmy Butler 2.0 with this deal. Rudy's attitude is not gonna mesh well.

they show an interesting stats as well. Mike is the best 3 point shooter at money time ( 37%) since season 2010-2011, even a bit better than Steph. Not surprising for me i see him doing what he does in OT so many times with the Grizz.

Hardy is pretty good. Riding with the best players, rotating better. Unlike before when everything seems robotic. We look athletic and fresh I wonder if this is sustainable. Feel bad for Rudy we exposed him

Ya he has been great. Im thinking maybe Quin kind of sucked.
Aside from Q’s zero focus on defense, I love how we actually value possessions again. A rushed 3 pt chuck still isn’t a good shot even if we occasionally get hot from 3. Now? We still shoot plenty of 3s but we’re valuing possessions, forcing the opponent to actually play defense for more than 5 seconds, and we’re playing a more balanced inside out game. We’re also finding the good matchups and exploiting them. As smart as Q was, I just never understood why we didn’t slow things down and exploit matchups more rather than just race to Chuck up 3s.

Totally agree with that. We shoot 50 3 poinsts ( at 40%), quite impressive. But we also run the ball with better efficiency and change pace during the game. This is a huge difference. The fact that the tempo is set up by Mike and not by Don is probably one of the reason. Don is a better overall player but Mike is a much better conductor.

We didn't "expose" Rudy. He's the reason we didn't win by double digits in regulation. Even the Wolves fans realize that KAT is the weak link.

Play of the game for me was JC WITH 1min left in OT, drives, meats Gobert, does a 180 in air and does a blind kick out to Conley for a huge wide open three for a 2pt lead. I can’t stress the level of difficulty on that pass. How did he even know Conley was there??
Exactly. And that's how you win basketball games in the current NBA - kickout passes for a three-pointer. If Clarkson did this more often, his value as a player would increase to a new level.
