Damn, pretty disjointed final possession. I think some people might blame Keyonte for going iso there, but on the replay I really think Flip should have unbounded it to Lauri.
I think Key could have passed it to Lauri, but I can understand why he hesitated - it wouldn't have been an easy pass.

Walker was a non-scorer tonight. Not sure what to do about it. Hendricks also struggled.

I thought the Kings were well coached. They took away some of the Jazz's movement much better than the Clippers did.

Yeah, and I tend to give a little bit of grace to players who end up with the ball in their hands with like 5 secs left. You don’t want to risk not getting a shot off at all.

I don’t think Walker was ever really in a position to score tonight. He’s made strides as an initiator but tonight showed he’s still not a natural and has a ways to go. Some of the turnovers you love with, some were straight up bad. I know spacing is king, but I would really like to see Flip handle the ball in those situations and just let Walker sit in the dunker spot. Maybe we’re just giving Walker max reps to develop the most he can.

Walker does see massive screens…so if he’s able to be a better passer/ball handler he can be really effective there.

It's pretty wild that this season we went away from using Flip as our secondary ball handler and just park him in the corner now. It does not play to his strengths and slows down his development.

Yeah, I've seen that criticism, but I thought he didn't get a really good inbound - more of a bail out the 5 seconds violation than anything else - and had to lose some time in an already short clock time controlling the ball in a crowded space.

Key could've (or should've) done better, and that stings for a last play, but there were other instances in the game that I was way more underwhelmed by his play than this last possession (and I don't say that as a knock, as his game impressed a lot so far this season). And the whole ATO play call fail feels much worse than that too.

The Jazz had a time out left. When you don't get a good inbound you call a time out. Key forced the ball a few times tonight, but thr last play was on Hardy.

Ace had 0 points and 13 minutes. They said he had more energy and felt much better this morning. I believe we've been fake news'd.
I am not worried. I don’t think some humble pie would be bad for him either. Kid is talented as ****, huge, and is not in danger of lacking confidence.
