I have been a Jazz fan since their move to Utah in 79. We started out as an absolutely horrible team but I fanned through that era into the glory years. I think trading away both Mitchell and Gobert was a gutsy move by the FO. I can see why that was done. Unfortunately we picked up quite a few descent players as well as draft picks in the exchange. Unfortunately the quality of those players derailed the plans that year.
Thats the point where I think things became a little weird. The FO started trading descent players a getting little or nothing in return. Trading players simply to get rid of talent is how they have worked ever since. Many on here seam to revel in how bad this team is. I lament how far we have fallen. I see a team that back when Sloan coached would fight every game, wouldn't quit, if they didn't beat you, you knew you had been in a fight.
This team folds at the first signs of trouble. I think they are unwatchable, they may not be any good but in my opinion they should attempt to play as hard and as well as they can every minute on the floor. I can stand to watch a poor jazz team as long as the effort is there. This Jazz team has shown little of that effort. I'm old and I don't think I have enough of my life left to sit through a 5 or 10 year rebuild. Unfortunately, it appears to me that that is where we are headed.
