What's new

Offer to Cavs for #1 is to draft Wiggins not Parker

Maybe they could pull this deal off and Sign Gortat for 3 years.

Burke - Clarkson (#23) - Garrett
Wiggins - Burks
Hayward - Marvin?
Kanter - Jarnell Stokes(#35) - Evans
Gortat - Gobert

wiggins is a sf, not sg

also kanter/gortat front court is the worst defensively in the league....

Sounds like the 76ers, magic, and jazz have all called the cavs too see what it would take. It seems like favors and #5 is the highest offer.

We can offer more than all of those teams, it's not really close tbh. The only team that could outbid us is Minnesota with Love, but only if he agrees to an extension before hand. And I don't think he would, wants to go to a contender.

4th or 5th pick is kinda the sweet spot for the cavs. The 2nd and 3rd best prospects in the draft (parker and exum) don't seem to fit the cavs current team.

I think Wiggins is sf majority of his career, but he'd be pretty overmatched in the strength department initially.

I posted this Cavs, Wolves, & Jazz Manaj on Realgm board and it seems like a good trade for everyone involved and so far people seem to be on board. I think its great. Thoughts?

This three way is being discussed in different areas so I thought I'd compile it and see everyone's thoughts. I think it's great for all parties involved.

Jazz out: #5 & Derrick Favors

Jazz In: #1, Jarrett Jack, Anderson Varejao

Cavs out: #1, Jarrett Jack, Anderson Varejao, Mem 2015 1st, & 2015 Cle/Chi 2015 1st

Cavs in: Kevin Love & Derrick Favors

Minnesota out: Kevin Love

Minnesota in: #5, Mem 2015 1st, & Cle/Chi 2015 1st

Why for the Jazz? They get their guy in Wiggins and continue the rebuild.

Why for the Cavs? They go for it. With a core of Kyrie, Love, and Favors they will easily entice either LeBron or Melo to sign there making them an ECF team minimum.

Why for Minny? They go into rebuild and get a top 5 pick in a great draft.

I'm kind of not interested in trying to get veterans to help out next year if this trade indeed happens. I think if you have Wiggins you're set once he hones his skills. Might as well suck next year too and get a really high pick. Jazz won't get very far unless Wiggins is leading them, and he wouldn't be ready to do it next year.

But this is probably an impossible sell. I mean, this season was pretty ****ty.

I really have no feeling for Wiggins, but he's obviously not a Lebron or Durant styled sure thing with crazy measurables or verifiable performance. (He's athletic, yes, but he's not a 6'10" 3 who can score at will, or a Lebron who is a once in a generation physical marvel). I'll support DL in his choice, but Favors is a lot to give up for him in my opinion.

Minnesota gets the short end of that trade. They are giving up the best player, but don't get the #1 pick? I also think that Minnesota wants some veterans or at least young guys who have a couple solid years under their belts.

Yeah, but the thing is, he is a physical marvel.

Love may be the better player but he is on a one year contract and forcing his way out thereby dropping their leverage.
