I'm starting to have my doubts about Wiggins. He doesn't come off as an alpha dog like Durant, Kobe, or Lebron. There are a lot of questions about his game I have.
embiid didn't play muchWiggins didn't share the ball much against West Virginia.

tbh if we want wiggins i would rather keep favors and take a punt on Gordon. he's closest to having wiggin's potential imo.

If there weren't questions about his game, Cleveland wouldn't be open to trades. It's not like Favors is an alpha either.
A bit iffy on wiggins tbh.

of course it's a gamble. but the jazz have a better idea of what favors is than Wiggins and it's pretty clear he's not gonna be leading the jazz to any NBA finals. and really how big of a gamble can a team that won 20 some games last year be? it can't get much worse. might as well get the guy you want if you think he's that good. I think he is, you think he isn't, not a big deal.

I know and he scored 41 pts. Shows what he is capable if he is the man.

35 games 35.9 minutes per game, 8.7 FGM on 18.5 FGA, overall percentage of .473. Durrant shot .505 from 2p range and .404 from 3PT range on 5.8 attempts. Rebounded 11.1 per game, went to the line 7.3 times, making .816 percent and assists 1.3, STLs 1.9, Blks 1.9. Pretty amazing stats for the MVP of the NBA. Average 25.8 pts.
Andrew Wiggins played 35 games, 32.8 minutes, 5.8 FGM on 12.1, overall percentage .448. Wiggins shot .493 from 2p range and .341 from 3pt range Rebounded 5.9 per game, went to the line 6.5 times, making .775 percent and assists 1.5, STLs 1.2 and BLks 1.0. Average 17.1 pts.
So yes Wiggins isn't equal to Durrant but the difference is not far off. If you look at both Kansas and Texas' s rosters you can see that Wiggins had more teammates who took shots. Durrant was the man and DJ Augustine was really the only other scorer on that team. Durrant is a better shooter but all the assists, steals, and blocks are essential the same between the two. Durrant played a little more but he took six shots more per game than did Wiggins so at Wiggins percentage you could add another 5 pts to his average. Still not Durant level both certainly is promising.
Now I know you can't just look at stats and say player X is almost as good as player Y but I think some people are underrating Wiggins because he didn't put up monster numbers but he still had solid numbers along with playing team ball.

I have the same doubts with Favors. The guy has been in the league for 4 years now and he put up 13 pts and 9 rebounds.

I think it is really dumb to judge Favors off of the 13 and 9 stats. Per 36 that is 15.9 and 10 and 1.8 blocks.
The sad part is the average fan would be saying Favors is close to an all-star if he just played more minutes and his stats went up.
Favors problem is not his average stats. The problem is his inconsistent effort. One game he looks like an all-star. The next game he looks like Ostertag and isn't even trying. Its like if he doesn't get enough touches he doesn't try on defense.
He is very 2 faced. He seems disinterested half the time.
Favors if he ever gets his head on straight could be a 20 and 10 guy. He already has the ability. He just needs to get that fire in him. Which I am not sure he will ever do.
Wiggins might seem like he has a passive personality. But honestly I see more consistent effort out of Wiggins.
Maybe Favors just gave up last year because he was tired of Corbin's crap. I hope that was the case. But I am leaning more towards he just doesn't care that much overrall.
