What's new

>=] OFFICAL GAME THREAD! Jazz @ Blazers

We will be better. But he's not a long term answer.

Not as a starter, but he's better than what we have had this season. Looks like Neto will be third-string next year, and Burke is definitely gone. I'm not surprised about Mack. The times I had seen him in the past, he looked pretty good. He will help us this year and we will make the playoffs barring further injuries and depending on who we draw, if we could get the 5th or 6th seed, we could possibly advance -- not sure we can beat OKC but we could beat the Clippers.

I'd say that was our first borderline must-win of the year.

I'm still scratching my head at those last few plays where we went for two.

A.) Shelvin Mack was great. Loves what he did tonight. 16 points and 6 rebounds in 24 minutes. He won't be great all the time, but he looked great tonight.

B.) Jazz screwed the pooch by not trading away Burke and Booker. Should have gotten something for them while they could. Lyles, Mack and Jingles should get all of their minutes. Their mental and defensive lapses consistently kill momentum.

C.) Gobert had a bad night, but you can't get too far down on him. He's one of the key parts moving forward and the Jazz need to figure out how to make it work. He got flustered early and it seemed to stick in his head. They should give Withey and Lyles a little more burn when Rudy is having an off night.

D.) They really need to start featuring Hood on offense. He's the guy that has unlimited potential. Let's see what he has and then ride the successes.

Carry us, Mack

12 losses by 4 or less or in OT this year. League leaders.

What consistently damns the Jazz is an inability to get stops down the stretch. They were 27th in the NBA in defense in clutch situations coming into tonight and that could very well have dropped even further.
