Official: Fire Dennis Lindsey thread

We could always set our eyes on... the 3rd Gasol!

I;m saying tho....

Exum
Hood
Hayward
Favors
Gasol

Nasty line-up. Lyles/Burks off the bench w/ Neto/2015 draft pick. That is a contending team.

If gasol plays... Six months of non basketball activity and at his size and age... Also fitness level is not necessarily great. I think he's in for a huge decline.

Dennis Lindsey better be fired after this season!!! How the *** didn't you bring in a veteran point guard when Dante Exum got hurt? And even after that he says the biggest off season move was getting Alex Burks back............ ARE YOU edited KIDDING!!! The Jazz have the 29th lowest payroll in the NBA & the salary cap jumps up $50 million dollars next season, SO WHY THE *** DIDN'T YOU GET A VETERAN PG ON A ONE YEAR DEAL....... SERIOUSLY. I'm a lifelong Jazz fan and I've never been this upset with the team because the are starting TO EMBRACE LOSING. Yeah the front office needs to keep telling everyone to be patient..........LIKE WE HAVEN'T BEEN ALREADY. Dennis Lindsey totally screwed up the Enes Kanter deal by him exactly what he wanted and traded him.........for a 2nd round draft pick, I don't think I need to remind you he was the 3rd pick in the draft. And the icing on the cake was the trade for Sheldon Mack. Really when you finally make a trade for a PG, ou get Sheldon Mack........Really Sheldon I Mack. Which was the final tipping point for me!!! The front office needs a total over haul, they've lost touch with reality if they really think fans are still staying patient with them, BECAUSE WERE SICK OF WAITING, NOW'S THE edited TIME.

Not sure if you're a troll account but if you're not please let this be your first AND last post on this forum.

You know Gasol is a really good shooter and one of the best, if not the best, passing big man? He would do more for our spacing than most "stretch 4's".

I thought this would be a slam dunk yes from everyone here. I don't think Memphis would ever do it. Gasol has 4 more years on his deal that are on a very fair price. Basically a flawless fit on this team and would give us the veteran presence we need, improve our passing a ton, and improve our offense a ton. What better way to be the next Memphis than to get the best player from Memphis. We would basically be the new version of Memphis with more talent.

I think they would want a draft pick or two, maybe another potential player. It's not a terrible idea though. I do question Gasol's durability, but the same can be said for Rudy.

Anyone who is anti DL is a moron. It's that simple. Look what he's done:

Drafted the best player in the 2013 draft late in the first round in Gobert.

The very next year, he drafted an elite defender, a great passer and a kid with an elite ceiling with the fifth pick. How many more wins do we have with Exum this year? Our defense is TERRIBLE the last five minutes of the game. We have 5+ more wins with Exum this year.

Also, Exum was hurt in August, the worst time to get injured. There is nobody to go after and sign at that point. It was just bad luck.

Anyways, back to the 2014 draft. If it was redone today, Hood would be a top 3 pick.

That means in two drafts, Lindsey found a top 5 player late in the first round. Kind of like SA...

Weird.

What this team needs is easily fixable.

1- they need Exum to play. There is 3-5 wins right there. We will say 4. That puts us 7th in the west.

2- we need a bench. That would be another 2 wins. That right there puts us sixth in the west.

3- we need Burks. That is worth a win. That would put us fifth in the west.

The plan all along was to go young this year and let the young people play to see what we have. The bench was purposefully thin to allow Exum, Hayward, Hood, Burks, Gobert to play as much as possible.

When Exum went down, that all went out the window. Burks injury stinks as well, but he is like How Brewer was around here...not nearly as good as jazzfanz experts think he is.

I LOVE the direction the team is headed. Offseason moves:

Dump Burke and if possible Burks. Let Booker walk.

Sign a real backup PG. Someone from a winning organization with playoff experience. Same with the C position. Try to find a Foye-type player to play backup SG. Draft another wing.

We are headed in the right direction. We have the core of a 50 win team. Whether or not we compete for titles comes down to Exum. If he is an all star, we compete for titles. If not, we become Memphis.

The cake is baked. We just need some frosting this summer (bench/vets) and a figurine to go on top (Exum to develop).

I didn't read the rest of it, but Rudy ain't the best from 2013.

Who is? The panel of experts from ESPN unanimously selected Rudy as #1 from that class and said if it was redone he would be #1. Giannis is #2 and I guess one could argue he could be #1 but nobody after that.

"Experts from ESPN" = lol

Giannis is easily better IMO. Dude is putting up 20/10/7.5 post all star break while playing good defense. Rudy is good, and definitely one of the best from a weak draft, but he's not the best.

I doubt it.

You're right the history of foot injuries with big guys in their 30s is pretty good... oh wait... it's effing terrifying and has resulted in ending multiple players careers. I'm sure Gasol is the exception though.
