Official: Fire Dennis Lindsey thread

The way the Hayward signing went down was pretty stupid. DL is after all a flawed human being not the bb god some of you think he is.

HE DOESN'T KNOW THE FUTURE. YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT HAYWARD WAS ASKING FOR. Hayward could've been demanding the max this whole time, how would everyone reacted to the Jazz extending him at $14 million per year before last season? I can tell you that: much worse than this.

Nobody wanted to pay him that kind of money then, and nobody wants to pay him that money now. But the Jazz did what they could in hopes of avoiding it. They lost, they tried. The only qualm I've had in this process from the standpoint of management is matching (and sending out the message that they'd match all offers [which I've always thought was stupid since if they really wanted to throw a mountain of cash at a player, the team would probably have already come to terms with the player] which probably helped raise the matching price), but that's the Millers call.

OP lost me at Harrison Barnes. Is he or Ben Mclemore the worst player in the NBA? Oh well, doesn't matter just keep guys like that away from the Jazz.

He's made a couple of (for now) questionable moves, but his good has far outweighed his bad.

Getting Hood for just taking the Warriors scrubs for a year may look like an absolute genius move very soon.

Hayward has played the bulk of his minutes at SG. I think having depth at multiple positions and guys who can play multiple positions is a good problem to have. If Snyder truly means what he says that players will earn their playing time, this could be a really good time to be a Jazz fan.
sorry, I much rather have guys with potential playing the 2...Burks and Exum. Hayward should only play the 3 or come off the bench. With his ridiculous contract though, unfortunately I think Coach Q will be forced to play Gordon Koncaks *** more. ****!!

Honestly, I'm really excited about Hood and just the youth of the Jazz in general!

Dennis Lindsey better be fired after this season!!! How the *** didn't you bring in a veteran point guard when Dante Exum got hurt? And even after that he says the biggest off season move was getting Alex Burks back............ ARE YOU edited KIDDING!!! The Jazz have the 29th lowest payroll in the NBA & the salary cap jumps up $50 million dollars next season, SO WHY THE *** DIDN'T YOU GET A VETERAN PG ON A ONE YEAR DEAL....... SERIOUSLY. I'm a lifelong Jazz fan and I've never been this upset with the team because the are starting TO EMBRACE LOSING. Yeah the front office needs to keep telling everyone to be patient..........LIKE WE HAVEN'T BEEN ALREADY. Dennis Lindsey totally screwed up the Enes Kanter deal by him exactly what he wanted and traded him.........for a 2nd round draft pick, I don't think I need to remind you he was the 3rd pick in the draft. And the icing on the cake was the trade for Sheldon Mack. Really when you finally make a trade for a PG, ou get Sheldon Mack........Really Sheldon I Mack. Which was the final tipping point for me!!! The front office needs a total over haul, they've lost touch with reality if they really think fans are still staying patient with them, BECAUSE WERE SICK OF WAITING, NOW'S THE edited TIME.

I'm not going to be critical of DL's draft choices as he's done pretty well. No GM bats 1.000 and DL has been pretty solid.

I'm not critical of the trades he's made, either. He tends to only make trades that are low-risk.

DL doesn't tend to make a splash in free agency. That can be something a fan can criticize.

Though I think his biggest valid criticism is the fact he let some of our former players walk instead of trading them for something - ANYTHING. Guys like, Millsap, Jefferson, etc.

At the moment, I don't think he should be fired. This offseason will be very telling. DL MUST improve the depth of the bench. Getting a #1 scoring option would be great but as I've said prior, if we don't upgrade our backup PG, Ingles & Johnson and our bench continues to be this weak the Jazz will have trouble getting out of the first round of the playoffs.

Getting Exum and Burks back will be great but injuries happen. Our bench needs major help so if there is an injury we don't stink to high heaven. And DL must make it happen.

DL has one more chance for me before I want to see his head roll.

That's this summer. He's got to make magic happen in both the draft and free agency.

No more sitting on your *** twiddling your thumbs hoping that Hayward becomes Lebron or Ingles becomes Dirk.

this organization has to make a good move, at least once in a decade and that is to bring david blatt here
