What's new

**OFFICIAL** Game Thread: Nov 5 - Jazz @ Nuggets - 7 PM MST

Most important thing i've taken early on, is that when we are **** we can grind and stop the other team from absolutely running away, and when we are firing, we can put teams away quickly (/bad teams).

The Burks hate around here is crazy to me. We have one ****ing player on this team that puts serious pressure on the defense, and we want to get rid of him why? I get he's not a terribly en vogue type of player, but he's damn good and he's on a nice contract.

He played point tonight if I'm not mistaken, based on minutes allocation. Either way, he did the job and still think he's capable as a ballhandler.

It's worth noting that the only other team that has played 4 road games up to this point is San Antonio--they're 2-2 on the road, we're 3-1. Our victories haven't been against good teams, but victories on the road are still note worthy. I feel like the Williams/Boozer teams would lose to ****ty teams like Denver and Indy all the time on the road. The key to winning on the road is good defense (so you can disrupt the opposition's offense, and by doing so, take the crowd out of the game). I'm so glad we finally have a good defensive team, even if the offense looks completely dead at times.

Spy nailed it. Keep makin'em.

Actually, thread creators should be voted over and give the majority to the ones with most fun, not to the ones that coincidentally create the threads for the games won. Gamethread creation is an art. Give it to the ones that are good at it. But come to think of it, spy will not spend time mostly on this kind of **** and go eat pizza and have fun with his girl.

No doubt. Trey Burke's steal which led to a clear path, and his three-pointer which extended Jazz lead to 4 were also a lot bigger than what they'd appear on the box score.

Play of the game imo

Yep
Even hack, mr never give up on any young player, has given up on Burks for some reason and thinks Burks is done improving, run out of potential (at 24 years old), and can only do hoodini shots and nothing else.
Even thinks trading Burks plus other assets and taking back a bad contract for Evan ****ing fournier is a good idea

Smd

It's clearly just a select few posters trying to keep their old twisted narratives alive, not anything valid.

That trade thread involving Burks Burke (and 1st round picks) for Fournier and Channing Frye's ****ty contract is just heinous.

The caps about to blow up to 90 mil -- Burks at 10 mil, with the versatility and upside he still offers is a damn good contract..

8 assists speaks for itself..

I don't hate Burks. Far from it. He is elite at slashing getting tot he rim and to the FT line. Very good player that way. I just think that he is the most attractive piece that the Jazz can use to get the shooter they need.

I'm about to watch the game. A little scared after reading some of the comments here. People acting like their eyes hurt from watching the mess to how great we played.
Not sure how much I'll enjoy this...
