Looks like it's pointing to verlin.

Tonight was like a prizefight, we withheld the haymakers (3's) and the Magic wore down. We got the knockout in the end, and depth, strategy helped that.

Just looked at the box score . Hayward with 6 TO's ? What the heck?

He had a real bad game, his turnover passing into the post with 1 minute left in regulation when we were down 2 I thought cost us the game at the time.

Slight redemption.....

His 3 when we were only up 2 with 1:20 left in OT was arguably one of the biggest shots/game.

Any theories on what gave Hayward fits ?

-Favors completely changed the game both times he came in. He was a game changer on defense, and made the Magic work harder.
-Kanter finally helped us tonight. Some good moves, and decent defense.
-Hayward his some big shots but look lost, or out of it. I couldn't put my finger on what it was. Maybe the hair cut?
-Big Al played some lazy defense at times, but hit some big shots. Love the pass out to Harris for hte dagger 3.
-Tinlsey was a spark all night. The dimes, and a few nice buckets. Earl who?
-Burks sparked us in the 1st half, forced a bit in the 2nd. Still want to see him out there. Clearly he is more talented than Carroll right now.
-Carroll hit some shots, but is still playing too much. I don't care if he plays on our depleted roster right now, but he is getting too much time. Nice energy scrub.

Good win. Playoff atmosphere. Noticed some empty seats at the top though. Let's not see that against the Suns.
Let's raise the roof with a playoff birth Tuesday night.

Actually, yes, you are wrong about a lot of things. You've given no statistical or other proof of the many things you've claimed over the past few pages. The truth is that Al isn't an efficient offensive player for the number of touches and plays he is given, and he is "trending down" on defense.******

I think the main reason he is not efficient is that he doesn't get to the foul line. Al is a dominant post player. Look at Malone, one of the most dominant scorers of all time in his prime. A lot of that is because he lived at the foul line. Jefferson would easily score at least 27 points if he could get to the line. Look at it this way. If he got to the ft line as often as Malone, either the wolves would still have him, or some other team would've paid a kings ransom for him. He is what he is, a big that puts a ton of pressure on the defense, good one on one defender bad help, and pick'n roll defender. In the end he needs to go so Favors can continue to progress. I like Al, but he isn't the future Favors is.

Whose minutes does Howard get Tuesday ?
That is obvious, Caroll.

Not trying to hate, but how can you be both inefficient and dominant?

Obviously depends on one's definition of 'dominant.' I suppose someone could be considered a dominant scorer yet be an inefficient scorer?

I agree with you that one cannot be truly dominant without also being efficient .. just taking a stab at butting into the convo.
