Official "How Could We Trade Up" Thread

Fox is good now. Spurs need to compete while Wemby is still cheap. They might find a better deal than Lauri, but he makes a ton of sense for them and gives them a good long window.
Yep, Fox is the key to us getting Harper.

1, Lauri fits his timeline and skillset perfectly as the third piece on a contending team.

2, he needs to get Spurs sold on him being their starting PG of the future so they are willing to move Harper.

Maybe something to think about is:

Lauri -> PHI
George -> MIL
Lillard -> UTA
Interesting. I think Lauri may be the silver medal to the team that misses on Giannis (if he gets moved). KD to Miami seems like it will happen imo... and the three way with Phoenix still out there.

I just wonder if Philly knows they are somewhat screwed with the Embiid contract so may not use more good money chasing after bad.

Lauri will be an instant fit for any contending team as the third option who doesn't need any usage%, which is his major advantage over the likes of Booker, Zion, Trae, Morant, etc.

Man, if we managed to trade Lauri for #2 and kept #5 I would be ecstatic, that would totally erase the disgusted feeling I've had since the lottery. If we managed to trade him for #3 or even #4 I'd also still be pretty happy.

As it is right now I've been assuming the lottery results are kicking out our timeline way beyond any point Lauri would be able to be part of it, so I've figured it meant we'd be sending him out for like 2 first rounders that'll probably end up in the 20s or something, and committing to like a 5 year tank. Getting a chance to roll the dice on one additional 2nd tier guy in this draft would be amazing.
