That'd be terrible for Flagg's development. It could work if Kyrie could stay healthy and Klay was still in his prime. But as things stand they don't have enough spacing or playmaking on the floor to maximize Flagg's full potential.

I'd only do it for Harper. VJ or Ace isn't worth the risk and chances are one of them could still be there at #5 on draft night.

You do this to get VJ AND Ace.

I am old enough to remember Derek Haper (I believe Dylan Harper's uncle) nixing a trade to Utah when the Jazz were actually decent. He didn't want to live in Utah. I personally believe if the Jazz go after Dylan, they are going to get the same response. Maybe not immediately, but more in the mold of Donovan (He quietly lets management and his agent know he wants to be traded).

I would never do that. I would do Lauri (a young, locked up, efficient all star) for the #2. Makes sense for both teams imho.

Ah but that's the beauty of the draft. You can say that about every potential guy the Jazz could bring here. The draftees though don't get the leverage to make that kind of request for 5-6 years and everyone else can do it in 2-3.

Assuming Ace and VJ are left on the board at 4 I could see the Hornets and Jazz swapping spots for a small price.

Hornets already drafted Brandon Miller so I could see them preferring VJ over Ace. If Ace gets past the 3rd pick I believe there's a fairly decent chance the Jazz can get him. If Jazz need to trade up to 3 I think Morey would target Lauri.

If Ainge/Zanik can find some way to acquire #3 while keeping #5 that would be such a huge lift after last night's disappointment. Drafting both Ace and Maluach would be such a reset on this rebuild. No offense to our current youngsters but none of them have that type of potential to be legit building blocks.

i like the way you're thinking and this would be such a great get if we could do that. i would be open to trading Lauri for that pick... i'm sure there could be some other assets involved, but this would also be on the Embid timeline...
