Official NJ Nets Watch

The jazz have done Avery poor job developing player IMO. Some of those draft picks we call busts have turned into decent players. My only fear in this is that the jazz don't develop favors. He has the talent and the motor to be a top level pf. But it is bizarre to me the jazz still have not brought in big man coach (or have they?)

If we give Favor playing time like we have then I am not worried about him developing. It would also be nice if Karl is made an assistant coach just for the fact that he can work with Favors one on one.

Detroit has won today, putting them back up 3 on the Nets and adding a little more security to holding on to that 6th spot.

Jazz are tanking, Nets are surging. Jazz get the #9 and #10 picks in a weak draft, miss the playoffs again next year and Minnesota gets the Jazz Lottery pick which ends up being an All-Star.

Being a Jazz Fan is so fun.

I'd hardly call two wins over Toronto a "surge." But the Jazz are tied with Washington, Sacramento and Minnesota for worst record over the last 10 games. Wow!

New Jersey may very well win their next couple (home vs LAC and GS), but then their schedule gets tougher. Maybe they catch Detroit (3 1/2 back), perhaps Milwaukee. But even that's doubtful. I think the #6 is very likely, #7 perhaps. Shouldn't be worse than that.

As for Utah, I don't seeing them falling behind any of the non-playoff Eastern teams (Charlotte is only 26-37). Perhaps Houston passes the Jazz in the West and Phoenix also stays in front. Golden State's not going to make up 5 games. So #12 at best (or worst, depending how you look at it).

I'd be ok with that...#6 and #12. Barnes or T. Jones and Vesely? Or even the Jimmer if he's still there at #12. That would be a decent pick. Local guy to sell tickets and assume the Ronnie Price role (but Jimmer can actually make shots). Better yet, package the #12 and CJ for a veteran starting wing. Jazz will have Hayward and the #6 pick to develop at SF/SG PLUS Favors to develop at the 4/5. Enough young players. Need GOOD veterans (and by that, I mean no more guys like Elson or Bell).

Report on ESPN is that he well miss the next to games to be with his wife for the birth of his child. So hopefully your right NCJazz that the Nets lose the next 2 without him. But of course they are playing the Warriors and Clippers so who knows.
