Holger Geschwindner has done wonders for Dirk. Has he helped other players? I know he worked with Rondo this season, not sure how that turned out.

Either way its good to see Rudy working hard on his game. Shooting will really help space us out. Even just having the threat of being able to make open jumpers.

I heard from a friend who knows a guy who works in the Jazz organization that Quin is installing a special "Timber" offensive set that will have Favors, Tomic, Hayward, Gobert and Exum on the court together. Rudy has already been switching off onto SG's who then can't get a shot off. So it's natural just to have him play off guard. Probably was supposed to keep this secret but Rudy went 7-20 from behind the arc today.
LoL .. timber did you say..

Snyder's also installing the "Tinder" defense.

Rudy swipes left, Rudy swipes right, Rudy gets annoyed and blocks.

If RG hits 65% of uncontested 15 footers this strategy would fail.

Still, if I am the opposing coach, having Gobert away from the rim as much as possible is a pure blessing.

What really excites me about this team is that you can see they all have major confidence and belief in the fact that they have something really really special going on and that the sky is the limit. A guy like Hayward signed a max contract because who would say no to that, tried to get better, etc... but now he can think "man, I am actually part of a team that could really win !!!". All players feel it, they want to get better fast to get there faster, they want to be on the court when wins happen, they don't want to be left out of what is developping. Some teams spend decades justr trying to sniff a whiff of that dynamic. It might all fail eventually, you never know in sports, but it looks so bright right now...

Rudy fakes the 18 footer, defender scrambles to get back on D since Rudy has already hit 3 of those shots. Rudy takes the defender off the dribble, 2 steps for the dunk. Salut. Win.

He is already stepping out to this position on many offensive possessions where he takes a pass and looks for cutters. If he can consistently hit a shot from that spot as well it sure doesn't seem like a pure blessing for opposing coaches to me. It could be the first step in turning him into a two way star.

If we are the best defense in the league from game 1-82 next year, what's the lowest seed we can get?

Figure in getting Burks back, and the last 20 games version of Rodney Hood.

Discuss.
