What's new

***Official Summer League Thread***

Nah, Hood shouldn't be done. He is the one who should play. Shoulder soreness probably isn't a big deal as long as there isnt any damage. Lyles needs Hood to make it easier for him.

What will Exum and Hood gain from playing? What will our coaching staff learn about them by having them play?

James Worthy on Porzingis - "He’s a freak of nature. He’s a combination of Dirk Nowitzki and Kevin Durant. It’s a good pick for the Knicks."

Will be interesting to see if Sir'Dominic Pointer can crack the Cavs rotation this year. Dude plays like Hollis-Jefferson, who's having another solid game now.

I think Exum needs reps. Hood has played a couple of games already so I don't think he needs more, but Exum needs them just to see where he is at this point in his development. One game is not enough. I wouldn't mind seeing him play one maybe two more games, but not if he is still injured.

Wont the coaching staff see this in practice and we as fans will see it in pre-season and throughout the regular season? He seems pretty established as our starter right now to me. Summer league seems more like a place to see what you got in your rookies and get a look at the fringe players or players that have been bouncing around different leagues and see if they improved. I see very little reason for established players who are not rookies to play more than a game or two.

All I'm saying is that it may help see where he stands on his improvement, and where he is at this moment. You could wait until practice and preseason, but that leaves absolutely no time to work on things. Right now is the time to work on your skills, and take that next step. You are unable to focus on that when team activities start.

Awful sequence for Julius Randle to start this game.. Got blocked 2x and the 3rd shot was a thunderous brick hurled at the backboard.

I agree with that I just think the games themselves are not helpful for working on skills. But that is a fair enough argument to play him.
