NOW, he has a lot to learn and he needs to get a lot better, but the coaches know that we are really, really good but we need a pass game. Desperately. So, they are trying to get Williams up to speed before the regular season starts.

Look, we turned the ball over 6 times and beat BYU. We are just better. In every way. Hell, I'd rather have Troy than Taysom as our QB.

We will come out and throw it another 30+ times vs SJSU to get Troy as much experience as possible. Then, come USC, we will run Moss down their throats and back off the throw game and go back to utah football BUT with a more dynamic QB for those runs and PA throws.

All of this is just practice for PAC-12 play. No one thought Utah would lose tonight. And as poorly as Utah played, they still won. There is no excuses now, Utah is just the better team and has far surpassed BYU.

The key to Utah's season is finding an inside runner (which they did in Moss) and getting Troy Williams up to speed, which they are trying to do. It's up to Williams to not make the same mistake twice.

Clearly better, you are certainly living up to the homer tread. Utah won by one point missed. If you were clearly better you would have won by a larger margin. The game was sloppy and some what embarrassing to watch. Neither team deserved to win or lose. The refs kicking out two players was ridiculous especially when they completely ignored the personal foul on Utah defender who drill 87 in the back after an errant pass. The hit was in the back after the play was over.

Even though the game went down to the last play, no real football fan would call this great college football. Both teams need to improve vastly if they want to win more games. Not impressed with Ty Detmer's play calling through out the game. Williams should have been used more. I thought Utah's defense was the difference but BYU's defense played almost as well considering the bad calls they got. The TE dropping the wide open catch certainly changed the game going down the stretch. BYU lost the game when they didn't take advantage of all the turnovers. Utah defense gets the credit for keeping Utah in the game. However, to say Utah is clearly the better team is ridiculous after winning by one point on your home field.

Between Utah and the refs handing BYU this game on a silver platter I'm not sure how they lost. Pathetic play from Utah, the worst I may have ever seen from the Utah offense, and they somehow still win.

As a Utah fan I don't feel good about either win this season. I've very skeptical that this team is going to win 6 games. They have looked really bad, at least they won both of them.

Also is it any wonder that the Utes don't want to play that team anymore? Bad sports, dirty players, and no real benefit for Utah if they win.

I hope they cancel the rest of the series, I have no interest in ever seeing the Utes play that team anymore.

Complaining about the refs by Utah fans, no that is a good one. Two ejections that even the announcers and head ref that should be overturned. Right after the second ejection a Utah defender cheap shotted Burgenson #87 in the back after the play was dead. Nothing was called. I agree the intention grounding should have been called. It was a bad call. The reason why Utah won is that they made one more play than BYU. Overall, both teams should be embarrassed along with the officiating crew. It was not a good representation of good college football. Utah got the victory but neither team should be rejoicing in their performance.
 
Going for 2 for the win, win or lose, is ****ing dumb. Glad BYU was feeling it, but think they would've lost either way.

BYU is a horrible institution, owned and run by a horrible institution. This game means nothing in the scheme of things, but yeah, I'll take it.
 
Lol @ BYU fans. You were given six TO's. You injured our most productive WR (Smith) with a cheap horse collar that should have been flagged. You injured our most productive/dangerous RB (McCormick) with a cheap shot that was flagged. You injured another one of our WR's with a cheap shot to the head...yet, you still lost.

Plus, the refs gave you a cheap penalty when Taysom threw an intentional grounding right before he was hit. Oh, and the time your WR grabbed Tim Patrick's arm to stop him from scoring a TD? And the refs felt so bad for you, when Harvey Langi was absolutely DESTROYED by Bolles, I mean Bolles made Langi look like a weak 215 lb end before he pancakes him three feet into the ground, that the refs gave you a pity holding call. You're right, the refs sucked big time.

And yet, with all that, when the game was on the line, Utah lined up with their third string RB, a true freshman, and rammed the ball down your throat. When it came down to the last play, you put the ball in superman's hands, and we blew that up.

You're a homer to the extreme dude. BYU gave Utah 4 TO's, Nacua was tossed on a ******** call, Williams was Hurt, Utah DB cheap shot a BYU WR in the back(no call), also the blantant missed facemask call on Williams. **** calls went both ways, pretty evenly and your team won by a point. ****ing delusional dude. It's fan like you that feed the hate for Utah.

I didn't pay close attention to the game because I was at a party. What I did see, though, was a U team that didn't resemble the one that Green has been describing for months. I'm a fan, and I want them to be great, but the have a long, long, long way to go on offense.

This is what I was wondering.

The foul didn't come after the play, it came during it. If there was a facemask on a D lineman at the same time as the interception, he interception would be wiped out. Why is this different I wonder?
