Utes just landed 4 star CB Jaylon Johnson out of Fresno, highest rated player Utah has ever got coming out of high school.

Hopefully he sticks with Utah, he's a prized recruit for sure.

Hyped about tomorrow, not going to gameday this time around but you know I'll be a the stadium, let's go utes!

Very very good showing by the utes. Super impressed. Washington is for real and the utes gave them everything they could handle and then some.
Utes got screwed pretty hard by the refs on the Washington punt return td. Three blocks in the back. Two of them blatant easy calls and all three affected the return

This. Horrible pass. I have a small problem with him going for the td rather than the first down.... But not a real bad decision. But ya, just a horrible pass out of the back of the end zone.

If Washington beats us at the end on offense i can live with that, but giving up a punt return for a touchdown

punch in the gut

Wishnowsky has been so good at holding the ball letting his coverage get down there but he had to get rid of this one fast

also would be nice if our LB's weren't invisible on D and if simpkins wouldn't have dropped that catchable pass

Washington got away with murder on that punt return. I'm not sure if it had been called back if it would have changed the outcome. Bottom line is that we had a shot to get it back and we didn't.

ugh, i normally would be pretty happy, we played fairly well, held washington to just 385 yards, joe williams did his thing again... but the way that went down just gave me a sickening feeling.

Someone needs to be fired!! I can understand missing one block in the back, or even one at the beginning and one later in the play, but my god!! There were three in a row and all in the path of the runner. That says to me the refs weren't even paying attention!!

Couple things.

1. If your going to do that play at the end don't throw a bullet.

2. With everyone deep, it looked to me like Williams could've possibly ran for a first as he leaked out toward the side out of the way of the path of the lines.

As annoyed as I was that there wasn't a flag for any one of those 3 blocks in the back (especially considering they call the U offensive line a few times and special teams 1x), the U committed too many mistakes. The dropped pass just before the punt is an obvious one, Moeai not getting out of bounds on the drive to end the first half, the numerous false starts by the OLine (I've never seen an OLine where only getting 3 is a good day) Bolles missing a block on a the LB that would've sprang Joe and then he mentally whiffed on pass protection that let a DE go unevaded to Troy and missed tackles weren't as bad as UCLA but still not a clean enough tackling game to beat a team like Washington. I won't even get into the LB play, even less than average would be an upgrade at this point.

As a Utah fan I felt the game ended on the drop coming out of the end zone. Yea they missed some calls on blocks in the back. But Washington was going to have the ball on the Utes side of the field with plenty of time and all they needed was a FG. All scoring that quickly really did is give the Utes a chance.

The Pac 12 officials are worse than Utah high school officials. I watched some high school football this week and they were far better than officials for the Pac 12.
