Official UofU homer thread

I'm not sure what you're doing.
I thought you were smart. Im surprised you couldn't figure it out.
My point is that the utes have not have long lasting injuries to their most important players at the most important part of their season. And that has played a part in their undefeated season.

My only point is that utah has been fortunate injury wise.

Utes have been lucky with injuries so far this year. To say otherwise is dumb.

This. And that was my only point.

Depends on who gets injured and when and how bad the injuries are.
Seems pretty obvious what i was doing.

My point was that the type of injuries, the timing of the injuries and the players who get injured make a difference.

One more for ya naos just in case you still have not figured out my point. (i reached the limit of how many posts i could quote on my last post)

Utah has a pretty impressive strength of schedule. Pretty much the only three cupcake games are Fresno, Oregon State and Colorado. And even those teams are not horrible.

If Utah State and ASU can break into the top 25, 9 of the 12 teams they play this year will have been top 25 at some point. This schedule is insanely good.

This is where I disagree.
I think if the utes had a season ending injury to Booker, Wilson, Scott or even the punter that they would have a couple of losses by now and probably end the year with about 3 losses.

Even p5 schools need their star players to have a chance at the playoffs.
How many of the undefeated teams have lost their starting qb for a bunch of games this year? I would guess the answer is zero.
I don't think that is a coincidence

You're right, we'll disagree. McCormick was going to be one of the offensive centerpieces for Utah this year. Our most productive returning WR has yet to see the field in 2015. We've lost 2 starting TE's to season ending injuries. They started the season without the 2 projected starters at CB in Hatfield and Christiansen (the latter still has yet to play this year). I could go on but I don't think I need to.

I'm also lol'ing at all the Coug fans still bemoaning the Taysom injury. Imo, you guys are BETTER with Mangum. Taysom was always going to be a limited passer. But please, keep playing the "We lost our starting QB" card. Your tears taste delicious.

Do you think utah would be better or worse if they lost Wilson for the year and booker never played a snap?

And freshman mangum is not better than hill

Also. I'm not crying about it. **** happens. Byu is having a pretty good year. This season has been quite fun compared to what I thought it was going to be when I saw the schedule and then realized taysom and jamaal were going to miss the whole season

I don't think you can call "being healthy" the same thing as "being lucky."

But, since your exercise is merely one of repetition, please continue.

You're a good guy, fish, but coming into a Utah homer thread and using BYU info to try and make an unnecessary point like this (we all know that injuries can derail a season without you telling us) has a less than minuscule chance of going well.
