Official UofU homer thread

I always had a hard time buying into the fact that we were actually a legit playoff contender (If you remember, this was the game that coulda made me a believer.). We really were exposed, we are a fine team. But not close to a championship contender. We still have a good shot to win the south and play in the P12 championship, which is way more than we could have hoped for. Top 20 team, not top 5 (although they absolutely deserved the ranking based on what they had done.)

Wonder how Green will explain this one.

And at least USC probably doesn't want Whittingham anymore after this.

Ugly. Travis was just horrible. But Utah was due for a letdown. I was hoping it wouldn't be a complete *** kicking, but oh well. Hopefully Utah uses this as motivation. They are still in the driver's seat in the south division, they just lost their cushion.

Travis has played bad before, but had the defense to bail him out. Tonight the defense looked gassed.

Want to be happy about this loss...

But Utah kicked my Ducks *** already so it makes us look even worse.

The talent at USC is crazy good, they need a good coach who isnt a drunk Ex-BYU guy, then they will be back on top.

I do wonder how Utah bounces back from this, I think even the players (along with fans) were getting playoff hopes up for this year. They could still make it to the PAC-12 championship but I think its unlikely they win out after this setback. Looking more and more like a UCLA vs Stanford.

It's really too bad. I think USC would've won regardless but the game would have at least been competitive were it not for Travis Wilson giving USC 14 free points.

Wilson's going to have nightmares about that USC linebacker for the rest of his life

If you think UCLA will finish better than Utah just remember Utah is hosting them late in November and UCLA still has a freshman QB - advantage Utah

It wasn't just Wilson. Utah called a bad game offensively. They abandoned what had gotten them here from the get go and then there was no going back. Defensively the early pressure was a good call. They could have deflated USC if they would have stuck to their offensive schemes. Everybody was trying to strut their stuff and show off, that is not what I expected. Tonight is on KW, first and foremost.

Why is that?

O State, Arizona, and Colorado? All very winnable games.

UCLA is not a gimme (none of them are) but I still like our chances. We play them at home, and they are vulnerable to physical defenses.

Your heart is reading way too much into this game. You want to write Utah off, but the division is still theirs to lose.

I'm betting they take a lot away from this loss.
