I am simply repeating what you have said in this thread.
Not sure what that question means. When did I live in the state or Oregon? I lived there in the early 90s briefly, I lived there for about 3 years around 99-02. I lived in southern Oregon as well for about a year in 2012ish. I lived on campus in Eugene in 2001 or 02 for 9 months.
I guess I still live by Oregon, since Utah is pretty close. I lived in Northern California and Hawaii for awhile does that count as close to Oregon?

What do you do at the U? Do you tell your coworkers how you feel about the athletic program there? It seems very odd to me that the people you are surrounded by and the institution you are paid by has 0 influence on what you care about.

I really didn't want to validate any of the negative comments after the game and didn't want to take anything away from the very sloppy win by the U but yet I am about to anyway by responding.
For whoever the poster is that is complaining the U should've gotten called for a personal foul for hitting the Y receiver in the back, Barton almost intercepted it and the ball had not hit the ground yet when Williams hit the receiver in the back with his shoulder and head up. I can get being upset after those 2 targeting calls just like I was upset when Troy Williams was hit out of bounds and they picked up the flag and Taysom gets tackled "too hard" and gets the flag, so I do get the feeling is what I'm saying.
As soon as the first targeting penalty was called my first thought was oh great now all we're going to hear about is this call for the next couple weeks (it should be about the players safety and if they were okay) and while I don't agree with how the rule is written and the ejection I was okay with the penalty itself, as when teach the "heads up" tackling they tell you if you are looking at the ground (head down) you're doing wrong and could hurt yourself (neck) and the opponent (leading with your crown) but I don't think the intent was there to outright injure the Ute player (even if it did knock him out due to concussion protocol and symptoms).
I would also like to point out that the Utes on the very next play proceeded to throw an INT (which the next targeting play happened) and so it got the Y's defense off the field and had no direct impact on the game, the Utes never got points from those calls. Yes I can understand not being happy with the calls as I wouldn't like it if a U player was ejected from the game for hits like that but I wouldn't be here saying or making excuses that it cost them the game, especially not when getting 6 TO's and getting great field position and/or taking away points from the other team as a result of those 6 TO's. Now as far as the rest of the game the U only really went deep on 2 plays both on the same drive and both ended up in PI calls, one against the D and one against the O, the rest was the U pounding the ball and having success doing it and that is more a reflection of the OLine winning the match up against the DLine and LB's.
As someone finally pointed out these were the Big12 refs not the PAC12 so all those conspiracies can be put to bed, other then if you want to keep with the self persecution complex then by all means who am I to tell people how to act or what to believe. Although since joining the PAC12 I thought they had the worst refs out of all the conferences (not that I watch a ton of other teams watching for bad refs).
Refs had bad calls all around I thought the hold that Garrett Bolles got called for was a lot weaker then some of the things the Y's Oline was getting away with numerous times of taking out the U's DLine from legs from behind and/or all but tackling them, but as the saying goes (or so I'm told) you can call holding on almost every play so I always tell myself that when I start wondering if it should be called or not. You should blame the refs for not calling that PI when Tim Patrick would've had the TD but the DB was holding his arm, because if they got that it would've allowed the U's offense to have the ball more and clearly they were the best thing the Y had going for it and would've resulted in the U's offense turning it over at least 1 if not 2 more times, I mean if 6 TO's wasn't enough to win a game clearly 7 or 8 would've done it right and then you guys could clearly be the better team today. So wait I take back what I said go back to blaming the refs and not calling some of the penalties the Y's D clearly deserved or for calling some weak penalties against the U that caused them to punt, if they wouldn't have had to punt just think of all the more TO's you could've gotten.

Other then the deep ball Williams hasn't looked good. Lot of throws off the mark and makes bad decisions throwing into traffic instead of running or throwing it out of bounds. Can't throw a pick inside the 20

Utah's first five offensive possessions: Fumble, Fumble, Dropped pass for a 1st down, Int, Int.
So the INT's look bad, but there was no offensive flow to this game. Also give credit to BYU their defense was active.
Think Zach Moss has earned himself some more carries, I like how hard he runs and with both hands secured on the ball.
