You have a point, and if White IV hates losing to a team not in the PAC 12... he would really hate losing to a team that is not in a conference at all. They will be fired up.
Honestly, the loss was unexpected. Wynn getting hurt in the shoulder was expected later in the year, not game 2. Wilson being very ineffective in the option game was not expected, if they bring him in for his running ability they need to change the play calling. That TD throw of his was pretty slick, but he really didn't impress much in the few plays he was in and I'm not sure if it was the calls or him. Hays looked pretty decent, well better than Wynn. He could actually find open receivers and get the ball moving down field. Crazy game.

Remember how Blechen said that he wasn't disappointed over missing the first few games since he would be back just in time for the season's biggest game, against USC?

Tough loss for the Utes. I don't think even the most overly optimistic Utah fans thought this year's team was anything super special though. Losing your QB starter on the road certainly didn't help. Utah is clearly not a power team. Not with some of the recent losses(USU & COLORADO). Hope they rebound and have a decent year.
USU. How about Gary Anderson? going back to last year they have won 7 out of their last 8 games. Doormats no longer. Two tough games left on their schedule. @ Wisconsin & @ BYU. Can the Aggies win 9 games? Looking more and more possible.

They had 2 really tough losses last year too. CSU & BYU. Games that could have easily gone their way.

They would be happy to go 0-12 as long as they could say it was a PAC 12 schedule. Also that pi call was right. Trim your goatees, wash your cammo, beat your wife, **** your dog and get ready to lose to the true big brother of the state.
