Someone send this tape to BYU. Get this classless bum suspended.

Stay classy JD Falslev.

Man, what a punch in the gut to BYU and it's fan. That's a tough loss to deal with, especially considering that you won't get another shot at Utah again for the better part of 3 years. Have fun replaying the last 2 games in your head while waiting for redemtion BYU fans.

My only complaint with Utah is that they took their foot off the throttle once it got to 24-7. Otherwise, pretty happy with the performance. When you're missing your 2 best safeties, an All-PAC12 RB and dealing with a QB change, I thought they did pretty good. BYU played tough, especially on D. I think they proved to be a nice tune-up for Utah heading into the ASU game.

As the rivalry now goes on hiatus, I think it's a good time to reflect on where the rivalry currently stands:

-Utes have won 8 of the last 11 (ouch)
-Utes have won 3 in a row
-Utes have a very enthusiastic (yet very stupid) student section
-Utah is just flat out better right now

Good luck up in Boise this week BYU. Would hate to see you drop 2 in a row.

Oh, I forgot my take on Riley Nelson: Amazing grit, probably the toughest player on the field regardless of who BYU is playing, but just an awful, awful QB. BYU fan's thoughts on this? It seems for every positive play Riley makes with his improv skills, there's a horrible play/mistake soon to follow.

Congrats to the Ute players on the win.

I've heard some say that call by the refs on the blocked kick was totally right, and should have been called. The ball was picked up and could have been ran in, if the player reversed field he would have ran into fans and bench players and not been able to get to the end zone. Is it more likely he would have been tackled, probably. Who cares if refs in prior games were too lazy to get the fans off the field and let the game end, I think the refs did the right thing.

I thought the yewt fans and especially coach Witless were stupid in their after midnight comments. really coach, you're going to be that much of a moran?

Crazy game, it was fun to watch. Both defenses were pretty good.

Too bad BYU won the competition of who could make the most mistakes, the penalties were crazy but I really don't have a problem with the way the refs called the game. On every reply of the penalties, spots, and fumbles I think the refs got it right.

Good job to the fans for the noise, almost offset by stupidly rushing the field during a live play, but the noise made a huge difference.
I'm not positive but pretty sure that ball can not be advanced by the kicking team unless it is touched again by a Ute player. Ute players were running from the ball so as not to touch it. Once the BYU player touched the ball the play should have been blown dead. The fans had 0 impact on any of that.

The Refs missed a # of intentional PF's by #9 on BYU. That guy should have been flagged 4 times and thrown out when he alligator rolled Hayes' legs attempting to injure him. I wish him nothing but a career ending injury in his next game.

We play the Zoobs @byu NEXT YEAR.

Why do so many people. Of know this?

Not trying to be a jerk, just sayin.

I think this is the case only if the ball passes the line of scrimmage (Leon Lett comes to mind). If the ball stays behind the line of scrimmage I think it's ok for an offensive player to pick the ball up and advance it.

Also, people need to calm down calling the student section stupid.

It was a weird set of events.

A relatively small group of people rushed the field the first time when everyone thought the game was over. Coaches, and players were walking out shaking hands and the scoreboard said 0:00.

This created a weird circumstance where the students were already on the sidelines. Go look at the Burton block, people started rushing the field immediately, it's just that they had a longer distance to cover to get to the field because they were starting from the stands and not the sidelines.

It was technically the right call by the book, but ****ing retarded when taking into account ANY common sense, or when considering there was a bunch of people on byu's sidelines on the field right where the play was happening.

Either way, people need to stop bitching about having a bad *** over zealous student section. The student section and the NEZ help us win games.

This was a 1 in a million weird set of circumstances that will never happen again.

Again Ute fans showing they love to run smack which is nice but man do they struggle knowing the game and such.

A blocked field goal that remains in play behind the line of scrimmage is pretty much a fumble and fair game for both teams.

And it was the right call but a dumb one. Given 60-70 games a week in college football this call can probably be made 5ish times a week but never gets called.
