What's new

Oh boy. Favors out indefinitely with a bone contusion

This is rough. I hope its minor and not a sign of much more major things. These things can heal quick or take awhile. I wish we knew where on the knee it was at and if it was a stress injury or if he got hit. If it is a hit that is more likely to heal quick. If it is a stress injury this might take awhile. I also hope he does not have ACL, MCL or PCL injury that caused it. I trust the staff to figure it out and get him rehabilitated but I am guessing they will release very little about this injury or time table on this one.

Where does the "I told you so"line start? Is it the same line gameface is in for the presidential elections?

This is why I wasn't interested in predicting Jazz wins this year; given our injury history, I had no ****ing clue on where our record will be. This is so damn depressing.

Back spasms was like 30 games... this is at least 40. Good news is Burks will have some to hang out with for awhile.

I'm missing something: Was there some recent event in game or practice when the new injury occurred? Or did it happen a while ago and is just now being diagnosed? Is it related to the IBS or is that completely separate?

This just kind of makes me regret the Boris signing (or trading for) even more. I liked the idea of Boris off the bench for 10 minutes or something, but as a starter it could be ugly. This is where the absence of Booker is really going to hurt. Booker could at least rebound and be physical with starting caliber players. Boris and Lyles? Eh, not so much. We lose a great deal of physicality. I think we can get by and still be a pretty great team without Favors as long as everyone stays healthy (and Gobert doesnt get in stupid foul trouble).

Anyone that's played with a bone bruise below the belt knows how difficult it is. You can feel ok some days and barely functional the next. Favors is a damaged product. It's look less and less likely we ever see our dream team 100% healthy.

Exactly. I love Boris in that bench role, but not as a starter. Now our defense, and rebounding are going to suffer with him playing major minutes. This ****ing sucks.
