Taiwan was actually built with all the gold in China, Chiang Kai Shek and the nationalists stole China's gold reserves before heading to Taiwan at the end of the civil war.

I believe this has been a busted myth for some while, not only that the amount of gold "moved" wasn't as much as rumored, the concept of "stealing from China" is also hilarious from a historical standpoint.

I just got back from China a couple weeks ago. But I'm not really seeing anything about it on China social media. My wife who's Chinese and following the Olympics doesn't even know who she is, only the other girl. China doesn't talk much about people not winning. They definitely don't cheer for Taiwan.

Yeah they only care if they win gold. Theres a large outdoor screen setup yesterday at taikoo mall for pingpong championship but theres not much people watching. Maybe because of the heat? In wechat they show unfair and disrespect towards chinese swimmers but never did they report previous doping issues.

Once I hit a shot so solidly that it made it off 2 walls, around 3 pylons, across the bridge over the bubbling brook, up the narrow ramp, and past the windmill for the free play...PLUS it hit with enough force it bounced back and hit the windmill FROM THE OTHER SIDE, and went back through, and so I got TWO free plays on one single shot.

One. Single. Shot.
