Supposedly he's like the best dude in the world and a hard worker. They bring a couple of these G-League lifers to the practice team every year. They probably also view him as a facsimile of the foreign bigs they may see in the Olympics.

I agree. This is by far the best opening ceremony of any sporting event I can remember seeing.
Also great and wide display of french culture with everything from opera to Moulin rouge style cabaree to heavy metal to art.
