Yeah, the Otto Porter thing never made sense. I was worried DL was going to do some dumb **** to make it happen.
 
I thought Porter already was offered a MAX deal by Sactown. I certainly hope the Jazz are not going to compound the situation by offering him a Max deal. I would be ok with a sign and trade but not for the Max.
 
If by some miracle we could've ended up with Porter I would've been super pleased, but Rudy Gay??? GTFO
 
Think the best option (as distasteful as it would be) would be to try to move some minor assets while helping Boston clear cap space to get Crowder.
 
Screw Porter. I don't want to be a 42-48 win team the next five years.

Opt in on Diaw. Then try to trade him, JJ, and Burks during the year. Sign Patterson to a solid deal. Maybe 3/27? It's a solid amount but far from enough to break our bank.
