It's not like we used the 2nd pick on the draft on him. For a guy with his defensive potential, it's worth the shot to take him at 27.
The quote from Locke is that he WANTS to be an NBA player, WANTS to be in the USA (this was noted also in the Draft Express notes on him.) In the same discussion, Locked noted that John Calipari said that Hasheem Thabeet doesn't like to play basketball. This one aspect is why so many big guys (huge guys actually) are so often a bust. They can be players without much heart or care. Then you get to NBA, and you are not so special anymore just being 7ft tall. I'm crossing my fingers that the psych report on Gobert is accurate and he is legitimately interested in the game.

Who is Walters? Is he anything like Wolters? He's good.
According to Locke a scout thinks Gobert has a chance to be a top-10 leader in blocks...... in the history of the NBA.
I sincerely wish Locke didn't like him or say dumb **** like this.
